The mission had started like any other. Y/n stood among the Avengers and Young Avengers, adrenaline buzzing in her veins as they gathered outside the abandoned Hydra base. Her dark pink magic, a blend of Wanda's chaos magic and Agatha's ancient sorcery, pulsed faintly at her fingertips, a constant reminder of the powers she still didn't fully understand. But she was ready. They'd done these operations before quickly, disrupting Hydra's plans. This mission would be no different-at least, they all thought.

The plan seemed simple. Recon, infiltrate and neutralize the threat. But standing in the dimly lit warehouse district, Y/n couldn't shake the knot of unease forming in her stomach. Standing next to her in his Spider-Man suit, Peter Parker seemed to sense it too. He shot her a reassuring smile from behind his mask, but even he wasn't as relaxed as he tried to appear.

"I got your back, Y/n," Peter said quietly as they entered the shadows. His voice, usually full of wit and energy, was more subdued tonight.

Y/n offered a small smile back, grateful for his presence. "Thanks, Pete. I've got yours, too."

The team split up to cover more ground. Y/n, Peter, and Kate Bishop moved together, scanning the hallways and keeping a sharp eye out for Hydra agents. Y/n could feel the faint pulse of magic in her chest, ready to be unleashed at any moment. The mission had gone smoothly, but her instincts told her things wouldn't stay that way for long.

As they rounded a corner, the lights flickered ominously overhead. Y/n paused, her magic tingling at the edges of her awareness. Something was wrong.

"Anyone else getting bad vibes?" Kate whispered, nocking an arrow and scanning their surroundings. Her sharp eyes darted to every shadow, every corner.

"Yeah, definitely," Peter muttered. His Spider-Sense was buzzing, but he couldn't pinpoint the danger yet. "Be ready for anything."

Y/n's breath hitched as the tension in the air thickened. Her magic thrummed under her skin, an almost instinctual response to the impending danger. She was about to say something when the doors behind them slammed shut loudly, sealing them inside the hallway.

"Trap!" Kate yelled, already firing off an explosive arrow at the door as Hydra soldiers poured in from all sides.

Y/n's heart raced as the chaos erupted. Without hesitation, she unleashed a blast of dark pink energy, sending a wave of soldiers flying. Peter webbed up several agents, flipping through the air as he tried to clear a path. Kate's arrows provided cover, but there were too many of them-far more than they had anticipated.

"We need to move!" Y/n shouted, throwing up a magical shield as more soldiers fired at them. Her magic crackled around her, but it seemed like two more took their place for every soldier they took down.

Peter swung above her, launching webs to disarm the Hydra agents, but his attention was divided. His heart was pounding in his chest as he saw more and more agents closing in on Y/n. He knew she could handle herself, but the overwhelming numbers worried his gut. He couldn't let anything happen to her.

"Stay close!" Peter called, trying to make his way to her through the chaos.

Y/n fought with everything she had, her hands glowing with her unique blend of magic. But there were just too many Hydra agents. She blasted them repeatedly, but the number of enemies overwhelmed her senses. And then, without warning, she felt a cold, sharp sting around her wrist.

Y/n looked down in horror as a power-dampening cuff clamped around her arm, cutting off her connection to her magic. She gasped, her dark pink glow sputtering out as the Hydra agents moved in, grabbing her before she could even react.
