Indiana watched as El passed on the front porch.

"That was mean, Hop. Whatever you did worked, but was mean." Indiana gave the man a playful glare.

"Don't know what your talking about." Hopper smiled innocently.

"Sure ya' don't." Indiana shook her and.

El returned back inside and went straight to the phone. "Hey, everything okay?" Hop asks.

"Yes." Eleven returns simply.

"Hi, can I talk to Mike." El spoke into the phone.

"It's 9:32. Where are you?"

"What... Why not?"

"But Hop said that your Nana was okay, that it was a false alarm."

"Oh."

Eleven's eyes looked to Hop and then back to the wall.

"Was that your mom?"

"You can come over after?"

"Do you lie?"

Indiana cringed at how the conversation was sounding.

"Friends don't lie."

After a few seconds El hung up the phone. "Hey. What's going on?" Hop asks innocently. Indiana squints her eyes at the man.

El doesn't say a word, she only slammed her door.

Hopper smiled as he took a bite of cereal. "You, are so mean." Indiana chuckled.

"Better quit before I do the same thing to Steve."

"Do it, I'll do the same thing to Joyce." Indiana raised her eyebrows.

"What? Joyce?" Hop asked shocked.

Indiana chuckled at his terrible acting skills.

"What? I do not--" Hop argues.

"Say's everyone guilty." Indiana chuckled. "Stop." Hopper states, his cheeks even pickened slightly.

"Whatever you say Hop. Whatever you wanna tell yourself." Indiana smiled. Hopper picked up the newspaper and bonked the girl on the head with it. She sat down beside him and poured herself cereal.

The phone rang making Indiana stand up and answer it.

"Hello?"

"I got a surprise, come to the mall." Steve's voice sounded excited.

"Okay. I'll have Hop drop me off." Indiana spoke. She hung up the phone and turned to the man with a smile.

"Can you drop me off at the mall? I don't wanna go get gas. Please." Indiana asked. Hopper rolled his eyes before nodding.

Indiana got dressed and walked outside with Hop. He unlocked the car as they both got in.

Hopper and Indiana made small talk and listened to the radio as he drove.

"Thank you." Indiana shut the car door.

Hopper rolled the window down. "You need a ride home?" He asked.

"I'll have Steve drive me." Indiana nodded.

"Alright." Hopper drove off. Indiana entered the mall and walked to the ice cream shop. A familiar curly haired boy stood waiting.
