They celebrated the twins' birthday at a resort in Moalboal. They rented rooms and a Payag (or Kubo in Tagalog).
"Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to you!" After they sang, the twins blew out their candles.
"Yehey!" everyone clapped.
"Anong wish mo, Anak?" Alicia asked one of the twins.
"I'm praying po, Mommy," Gavin said.
"Anong pinipray mo kay God?" she asked Gavin again.
"I pray po na sana hindi magkahiwalay si Mommy Risa at Mommy Ali, para maging happy family po kami forever," he said excitedly. Risa and Alicia smiled, realizing how mature their eldest son was thinking.
"We pray for that too, Apo," Elaine said.
"How about you, Anak?" Risa asked Calvin.
"I pray for a baby sister po, Mommy." Risa was shocked and looked at Alicia. The couple smiled at each other and hugged their grandkids.
"Ibibigay nila ‘yun," Elaine said. "Oh, I have something for both of you." Vicente handed the two boxes to Calvin and Gavin. They were excited to open the gifts, and when they did, they were shocked.
"A remote control car! Thank you, Daddy Lo and Mommy La!" they shouted and immediately hugged their grandparents.
"You're welcome, Apo. Do you like it?"
"We love it po! Thank you, Mommy La and Daddy Lo. Iingatan po namin ito," Gavin said. Risa and Alicia stood quietly to the side, watching the twins enjoy their food as their Lola fed them.
Alicia couldn’t shake the feeling that she might be pregnant, and Calvin’s wish felt like a sign to share her suspicions with Risa. She knew Risa would be upset, but if the test came back positive... she wasn't sure what to do.
"Love, wag mo nang isipin ‘yung hiling ni Calvin," Risa teased as she handed Alicia a plate of food. They shared a single plate, even feeding each other. But Alicia was still worried, trying to process what might happen if she really was pregnant.
The twins wanted to sleep with their grandparents, leaving Risa and Alicia alone in the room. Alicia was clearly distracted, staring at her belly.
"Love, if you're still thinking about what Calvin said, just let it go, like what—"
"What if it really comes true?" Alicia cut Risa off and looked at her. Risa was confused and got closer.
"Anong ibig mong sabihin?" she asked, kneeling in front of Alicia. "Love, may problema ka ba? If you want to have a baby, we can consult Katie and undergo the procedure." She asked seriously, holding Alicia’s hands.
"Kasi, Love," Alicia began to cry, making Risa even more worried. Alicia had been distant all day.
"I'm getting really concerned, Love. What's going on?"
