We're outside the covered court, preparing for a parade that the twins want to join, which is why Alicia allowed them. However, a barangay tanod must accompany them because the boys are asthmatic, and they might get suffocated while in the parade.
"Kap Tonio, ang ganda ng kalabaw natin ah," she said while touching the carabao. Risa was just watching her, while Ate Ching and two tanod were following behind.
"Syempre, Mayora, magaling mag-alaga si Mang Carlito. Ito na yung kalabaw sa farm niyo na binili niyo noong nakaraang taon, nung tumakbo na kayong Mayor," he said. Alicia was amazed because the carabao grew so quickly; it was still young when they bought it.
"Pwede po bang sumakay?" Alicia asked, but Risa protested.
"No!" Everyone suddenly looked at her, surprised by her attitude. "I mean, I was worried about you, Mayor Alice, baka mahulog ka." Alicia smirked and leaned closer to Risa's ear.
"Na-fall na nga ako sa’yo eh." Risa smiled and rolled her eyes. Shucks, kilig si Sen. Ri natin haha. "C’mon love, promise, mabilis lang ‘to. Hindi ako magtatagal, promise," she pouted, trying to persuade Risa to let her ride the carabao.
"Oh sige, sige," Risa finally relented, but of course, Alicia always had the final say. They helped Alicia onto the carabao while Risa stood beside her, holding onto Alicia's leg just in case she fell, ready to catch her love.
"Hello po, Mayora! Ganda!" people shouted as they passed by. Alicia waved at them, making Risa even more nervous.
"Love, wag! Ano ba!? Mahuhulog ka niyan," Risa said, already upset. Alicia was so stubborn, riding like it was a game.
"Love, chillax, I’m fine. Nandyan ka naman eh. Don’t worry, I’ll be okay po," Alicia said while they continued walking. Some took pictures of Alicia while she rode the carabao, waving and posing for the cameras like a celebrity. Risa kept quiet but was fuming inside—Alicia was so hardheaded, she might fall and get sick.
"Hello po... Happy Fiesta!" Alicia shouted to the people. Gavin and Calvin called Ate Ching, saying they also wanted to ride the carabao like their mommy Ali. Ate Ching approached Alicia, and Alicia told her to ask Risa.
"Senator Risa, pwede daw pong sumakay sa kalabaw," Alicia looked at Risa. She knew Risa was already upset, but she did it on purpose to tease her.
"Love?" Alicia whispered. Risa was in a beast mode. She rolled her eyes and looked away. Alicia sensed something was wrong, so she decided to get off the carabao.
"Wait lang po, baba na po ako. Galit ho ang asawa ko," she shouted. Ate Ching smiled upon hearing that, and those words made Risa smile, too. Shit! Nakuha ka na naman ng isang iglap, Sen. Ri! Ang rupok mo talaga hahaha.
They helped Alicia off the carabao, and she started walking beside Risa, gently nudging her arm.
"Psst! Sorry na, na-miss ko lang sumakay ng kalabaw, love eh," she said, wrapping her arm around Risa’s.
