Have you ever been in love?
It can be a beautiful thing
Every love song will be about them,
Everything around you is suddenly lovely
And your world feels complete when they say
"I love you too"
But what if they don't?
Dont love you back I mean,
Are you satisfied just being by their side?
When your feelings are so strong
And you are forced to hide
That was me once upon a time
I kept falling for people,
who never wanted to be mine
I always loved so deeply
Always care too much
Always the one giving herself
Then they don't stay in touch
Am I that worthless?
I wish for this to change
I hate always being the lover
The one who hides
her love under covers
I've been rejected
And I've had half of me walk away,
I've been played,
And I've been used for things I can never say
It doesn't matter what I do
The ones I love,
never choose to stay
And you know what, it's not okay
Why does it always seem to go this way?
Im not sure how to end this
Im just tired of it all
Why am I always the one loving
The only one taking the fall
I still have a long way to go
Lots of loving to give
And I hope I receive twice as much
I'll keep dreaming,
For in love, there's still meaning
Even if I fall once more,
I'll love again, stronger than before
