JULIAN

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, expecting a message from Lexi. Instead, an unknown number flashed on the screen. "You're mine," the text read. I rolled my eyes, dismissing it as spam. But the messages kept coming.

"Meet me at the coffee shop. I need to see you."

A shiver ran down my spine. I recognized the tone - possessive, controlling. Lucy.

My mind racing, I tried to shake off the unease. What did she want now?

Curiosity got the better of me, and I found myself walking into the coffee shop, scanning the room for Lucy's familiar blonde hair.

She sat in the corner, her eyes fixed on me, wild and unpredictable.

"Julian," she purred, her voice low and menacing.

I approached her table, my heart sinking.

"Lucy, what's going on?" I asked, trying to keep my tone neutral.

"You think you can just discard me?" she spat, her eyes flashing with anger. "I know about Lexi. You're mine, Julian."

My unease turned to fear. How did she know about Lexi?

"Lucy, stop this. It's over," I said firmly, trying to keep my composure.

But Lucy's smile sent shivers down my spine.

"It's far from over," she whispered, her eyes glinting with malice.

I felt trapped, my mind racing with the consequences of my past mistakes.

What had I gotten myself into?

"Lucy, please..." I began, but she cut me off.

"You'll pay for what you did to me, Julian. You'll pay dearly."

Her words hung in the air, a threat that left me breathless.

I knew I had to get out of there, before things escalated further.

But as I turned to leave, Lucy's parting words stopped me cold:

"Lexi will never have you. You're mine."
