Scene 1: The Burden of Power

The next morning, the soft light of dawn filtered through the curtains of Mira's room in the Royal Magic Academy infirmary. Lyka sat beside the bed, her eyes puffy from sleepless nights and the weight of guilt pressing on her chest. She hadn't left Mira's side, clinging to the hope that her friend would somehow wake up.

Her thoughts drifted back to the conversation with Carina the night before. The dark god's whispers still echoed in her mind, tempting her with promises of strength, but Lyka resisted, refusing to let the darkness consume her. Yet, the temptation was always there, lurking in the corners of her heart.

As she sat in the quiet room, the door creaked open, and Elara, Auron, and Darius entered softly. They had come every day to check on her, but they knew how fragile she had been, so they spoke in gentle voices.

Elara (softly, smiling as she approached Lyka):
"Hey, Lyka... How are you holding up?"

Lyka gave a small, tired smile, but the pain in her eyes was evident.

Lyka (quietly, looking at Mira):
"I'm trying... but it's hard. I don't know if she'll ever wake up."

Auron stepped closer, his voice filled with warmth and quiet strength.

Auron (reassuring, gently):
"She's strong, Lyka. Just like you. She's going to pull through. You've always said that we can't give up hope, right?"

Darius nodded, his tone calm and filled with empathy.

Darius (softly):
"We're all here for you. For both of you. Don't carry this alone."

Lyka looked at them, the love and concern in their eyes tugging at her heart. She had tried so hard to bear this burden on her own, but now she realized that she didn't have to. Her friends had always been there, willing to stand by her side through anything.

Her voice trembled as she spoke, tears welling up in her eyes.

Lyka (tearfully, voice breaking):
"I don't know what I'd do without you all... I just feel so lost. I made a mistake trusting Marcellus, and now Mira's..."

Elara gently placed a hand on Lyka's shoulder, her voice filled with warmth and compassion.

Elara (softly, reassuring):
"Mira's still with us, Lyka. She hasn't left you. And neither have we. We'll get through this together."

The quiet strength in their words gave Lyka a small sense of comfort, but deep inside, she still felt the overwhelming weight of her guilt. No matter how much her friends reassured her, she couldn't shake the fear that she had failed them all.

Scene 2: Fears in the Dark

That night, Lyka sat by Mira's bedside once more. The room was filled with the steady rhythm of Mira's breathing, the only sound that broke the silence. The quiet was suffocating, the shadows in the room darker than before, as if Carina was watching her every move.

Lyka stared at Mira, her heart heavy with regret. She leaned over, brushing a strand of hair from Mira's forehead, her voice soft and trembling.

Lyka (whispering, voice broken):
"I'm so sorry, Mira. I should have protected you. I should have listened to you..."

As she spoke, her thoughts became clouded with doubt and self-loathing. The dark whispers of Carina returned, tugging at her mind.
