The morning light of Toronto crept through the thick curtains, casting a soft golden glow across the hotel room. Jungkook stirred in bed, the comforting warmth of the blankets cocooning him. He blinked sleepily, the remnants of his dreams still clinging to the edges of his consciousness. Slowly, the room came into focus, and he noticed Taehyung already awake, sitting by the window. Dressed in a simple white shirt and black slacks, Taehyung exuded a calm, collected aura as he sipped his coffee, his attention buried in the stack of papers before him.

Jungkook couldn't help but smile at the sight. He stretched lazily, the soft sheets slipping off his shoulders as he sat up. The tension that had once clouded the air between them had dissipated, replaced by a sense of ease and warmth that lingered with every shared moment.

"Morning," Jungkook mumbled, voice thick with sleep, as he pushed the blankets aside.

Taehyung glanced up, his lips curving into a small, genuine smile. "Morning. Sleep well?"

"Better than I have in days," Jungkook admitted, running a hand through his tousled hair. There was something different about today, a lightness in the air that made everything seem... brighter.

Taehyung's brow lifted slightly at the admission, but he didn't press further. Instead, he rose from his chair and approached the bed, holding out a steaming cup of coffee.

"Here, thought you might need this," he said, handing it over.

Jungkook took the cup with a grateful smile, inhaling the rich, earthy scent before taking a tentative sip. The warmth spread through him, chasing away the last remnants of sleep. "You're a lifesaver," Jungkook sighed, savoring the taste.

Taehyung chuckled softly, leaning against the window as he crossed his arms. "Nervous about the meeting?"

Jungkook shook his head, more to convince himself than Taehyung. "Not really. I think I've got it under control." He glanced down at his cup. "At least, I hope so."

"You will," Taehyung said with quiet confidence. His voice was calm, steady, as if he had absolute faith in Jungkook's abilities. "You've prepared well, and I'll be there if you need any backup."

Jungkook smirked, his nerves momentarily forgotten. "I know. You'll swoop in like some hero and save the day."

Taehyung's lips twitched into a teasing smile. "Naturally."

Their banter flowed easily, the tension of the previous weeks now a distant memory. There was something freeing about it-this unspoken understanding they seemed to have settled into. Whatever had happened between them before felt less important, overshadowed by the quiet moments they were now sharing.

Jungkook placed his cup down, standing up with renewed energy. "Okay, time to get ready," he said, pulling his suit from the closet. He ran his fingers along the fabric, a nervous laugh escaping him. "Let's hope I don't mess this up."

Taehyung pushed off the window and headed toward the bathroom, casting a glance over his shoulder. "You won't. You're better at this than you think."

Jungkook paused, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. "Thanks, Tae."

The nickname slipped out naturally, and Jungkook realized too late what he had said. He glanced nervously at Taehyung, half-expecting him to react with surprise. But instead, Taehyung stopped in his tracks for only a second, then smiled softly before disappearing into the bathroom. It was a subtle acknowledgment, but one that made Jungkook's heart skip a beat.
