Jimin and Taehyung crept through the dimly lit warehouse, every nerve on edge. The stale air smelled of rust and oil, each shadowed corner holding potential danger. As they neared a cracked wooden door at the end of a narrow hallway, Taehyung felt a surge of emotions—fear, anger, and an unyielding determination to see Jungkook safe.

Taehyung took a steadying breath, glancing at Jimin. They shared a quick, silent nod, and with a swift, forceful kick, Taehyung broke the door open. The sound echoed, slicing through the silence, and Taehyung stormed inside, his gaze locking on the figure he hadn’t expected to see—his ex-girlfriend, standing menacingly close to a restrained Jungkook.

The sight of Jungkook, bruised and bound, filled Taehyung with a fierce protectiveness that wiped out any trace of caution. The woman’s expression shifted from a self-satisfied smile to an open scowl as she met Taehyung’s eyes, knowing her game was finally up.

“I knew you’d come running,” she sneered, attempting to mask her shock. “It didn’t take you long, did it, Taehyung?”

Ignoring her taunts, Taehyung’s gaze remained on Jungkook, taking in every detail—the bruises on his face, the split lip. He held himself back, but only barely. When he spoke, his voice was a low, lethal murmur. “Release him. Now.”

She laughed, the sound hollow. “Or what? You’ll run away again? Just like you did to me?”

Taehyung’s jaw tightened, a barely restrained storm flickering in his eyes. “We both know why that happened,” he said coldly. “Don’t make this about you.”

She stepped forward, eyes glinting with bitterness. “You threw me aside for him, didn’t you?” she spat, gesturing to Jungkook. “You were always running, Taehyung—afraid of commitment, of anything real. But we could’ve had everything.”

“You were the one who betrayed me. Drugging me… manipulating me,” Taehyung bit out, his voice icy. “What we had was nothing but control and lies.”

Jungkook’s breath hitched, his eyes widening as the weight of her betrayal became clear. She had tried to control Taehyung, manipulating him with drugs and deceit—a dark chapter Taehyung had never spoken of.

Her gaze hardened, her mask slipping to reveal raw fury. “Fine. Run off with him,” she hissed, her hand twitching as if she wanted to lunge forward. But Jimin quickly stepped in, grabbing her arm and restraining her.

Without another word, Taehyung moved toward Jungkook, hands gentle as he began untying the ropes. “Jungkook,” he murmured, his voice breaking just slightly as he pulled him close. “Are you alright?”

Jungkook nodded weakly, still processing the tense confrontation, but he leaned into Taehyung’s touch, grounding himself in the safety of his warmth.

They moved through the warehouse with urgency, every creak and distant echo keeping their senses heightened. Outside, a chilled breeze cut through the night, wrapping them in silence once more. Taehyung kept Jungkook close, his arm steady around him as they walked towards the car.

“You’re safe now,” Taehyung said, his tone softer, more reassuring. He took in Jungkook’s expression, noting the lingering tension in his eyes.

“Thank you,” Jungkook whispered, his voice barely audible. He glanced at Jimin, who gave him a reassuring nod, and then back at Taehyung. “I didn’t think… I’d ever see you again,” he admitted, a faint tremor in his voice.
