The following morning dawned bright and clear, a crispness in the air hinting at the arrival of winter. Jungkook awoke with a renewed sense of determination, the previous day’s success still buzzing in his veins. Today, he planned to spread even more cheer at the office. After a quick breakfast and a few playful stretches, he weared his blue suit—then grabbed his bag and bag of cookies and headed out, his heart light with excitement.

---

Upon arriving at the office, Jungkook was greeted by the familiar hustle and bustle of his colleagues, the warm chatter and laughter wrapping around him like a cozy blanket. He couldn’t help but smile at the sight, his mind already racing with ideas for how to make today special.

---

Meanwhile, in his office, Taehyung was already immersed in a mountain of paperwork. The tall CEO sat behind his desk, his brow furrowed in concentration, as he reviewed a particularly tedious report. He was well aware of the cheerful atmosphere outside his office, but he chose to ignore it, focusing instead on the tasks at hand. The sounds of laughter and the smell of cookies wafting through his door only served to deepen his resolve to stay focused.

But as the minutes ticked by, the lingering scent of baking cookies began to gnaw at his concentration. He glanced at the clock, then at the door, feeling an inexplicable pull to step outside. The tension in his shoulders slowly eased as he sighed, allowing himself a moment of curiosity.

---

Just as he pushed the door open, the sound of Jungkook’s laughter filled the air. The young man was surrounded by a few colleagues, animatedly discussing the day’s plans while holding a tray of freshly baked cookies.

“I’m telling you, if you add just a pinch of cinnamon, it elevates everything!” Jungkook exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

Taehyung’s heart skipped a beat at the sight. Jungkook looked so vibrant, so full of life, it was hard to ignore. The way he moved, the laughter that bubbled from his lips—it was infectious. For a fleeting moment, Taehyung felt a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, but he quickly masked it, shaking his head in disbelief.

“What is all this noise?” he barked, stepping into the break room, his presence immediately silencing the conversation.

Jungkook turned, his expression shifting from joy to surprise. “Oh! Mr. Kim! I was just—”

“Don’t you have work to do?” Taehyung interjected, his tone cold but not entirely devoid of concern. “This isn’t a bakery.”

Going to tell this to mrs kim

Jungkook’s cheeks flushed slightly at the reprimand, but he quickly regained his composure. “I just wanted to share some cookies with everyone! It’s important to have fun while we work, right?”

Taehyung crossed his arms, trying to maintain his stern demeanor. “Fun is a waste of time when there are deadlines to meet.”

Jungkook frowned, feeling a mix of disappointment and determination. “But Mr. Kim, you can’t just work all the time! A little fun makes the day brighter. It’s scientifically proven!”

“Science doesn’t run my company,” Taehyung replied, his voice clipped.

Jungkook’s shoulders slumped slightly, feeling the weight of Taehyung’s icy attitude. “Fine. I’ll just get back to work,” he muttered, turning away from the break room. But as he walked away, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was losing a small battle.

---

Back at his desk, Jungkook busied himself with his tasks, but he couldn’t help but glance toward Taehyung’s office every few minutes. Despite the CEO’s cold exterior, there was something about him that intrigued Jungkook. The way Taehyung buried himself in work, the way he was always so serious—it made Jungkook want to break through the walls he had built around himself.

As the day wore on, Jungkook decided to distract himself by focusing on his work. However, he found it challenging to concentrate when thoughts of Taehyung kept swirling in his mind. Was there a way to reach him? To show him that work didn’t have to be so serious all the time?

---

During lunch, Jungkook gathered his colleagues and shared stories while they enjoyed the cookies he had made. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, and for a moment, Jungkook forgot about his earlier confrontation with Taehyung. But deep down, he felt a pang of longing to connect with the cold CEO.

After lunch, Jungkook returned to his desk to find a note slipped under his door. He picked it up, curious, and opened it to find a simple message: “Meet me in my office. Now. – T.”

His heart raced as he read the note. Did Taehyung want to talk about the cookies? Or was he going to reprimand him further? Taking a deep breath, Jungkook stood and made his way to Taehyung’s office, each step filled with anticipation.

---

When he entered, he found Taehyung staring out the window, his posture rigid. Jungkook cleared his throat softly, not wanting to startle him. “You wanted to see me, Mr. Kim?”

Taehyung turned slowly, his expression unreadable. “What do you think you’re doing, bringing cookies to work?”

Jungkook shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant despite the tension in the air. “I just wanted to make everyone happy, including you. It’s important to have a little fun!”

Taehyung’s eyes narrowed slightly, but there was a flicker of something else—curiosity, perhaps. “Fun doesn’t pay the bills, mr Joen”

“I know, but it makes the hard work worthwhile!” Jungkook replied, a hint of pleading in his tone. “You can’t just work all the time and expect everyone else to do the same. You’ll burn out!”

For a moment, Taehyung remained silent, as if weighing Jungkook’s words. Then he sighed, looking away. “You’re… irritatingly optimistic, you know that?”

Jungkook smiled brightly, his heart warming at the small acknowledgment. “Maybe, but it keeps things interesting!”

---

After a pause, Taehyung shifted slightly, his expression softening just a fraction. “You’re lucky I don’t have the time to deal with you right now.”

“Does that mean I can bring cookies again tomorrow?” Jungkook asked, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

“Only if you keep the noise down,” Taehyung replied, but there was a hint of a smirk threatening to break through his stoic facade.

As Jungkook left the office, he felt a rush of exhilaration. Taehyung hadn’t been warm, but there had been a glimmer of something in his eyes—a hint of amusement, perhaps, that Jungkook had managed to elicit.

---

In the days that followed, Jungkook made it his mission to lighten Taehyung’s days. He would leave little notes on his desk, share jokes during brief encounters, and continue bringing in baked goods. While Taehyung remained mostly cold, he began to respond to Jungkook’s antics with the faintest hint of a smile, and Jungkook was determined to keep it going.

As Taehyung sat at his desk, reviewing reports, he would catch sight of Jungkook bustling about, always full of energy. Each time he witnessed Jungkook’s infectious laughter or witnessed him making his coworkers smile, Taehyung found it harder to resist the warmth growing within him.

And maybe, just maybe, he would allow himself to crack a smile every now and then—if only for the charming little troublemaker who had waltzed into his life.
