Jungkook stirred in his bed, the soft sunlight filtering through his curtains, warming the room with a gentle glow. He groaned quietly, stretching his limbs before rolling over to check his phone. It was still early, but today was important. He had work as usual, but more than that, he was going to see Taehyung again.

He couldn’t help but smile at the thought. A mix of anticipation and nervous energy danced in his stomach as he thought about their last meeting—the way Taehyung’s gaze seemed to hold him captive, how effortlessly they slipped into their own world amidst the chaos of their jobs.

After a few moments of enjoying the quiet, Jungkook reluctantly pushed the covers aside and got out of bed. He padded softly across his bedroom and into the bathroom, turning on the sink to splash cold water on his face. The cool sensation woke him up, and soon enough, he was in the shower, washing away the sleepiness and preparing for the day ahead.

With a towel wrapped around his waist, he stood in front of the mirror, brushing his hair into place. His thoughts kept drifting back to Taehyung—the man who made his heart race, the one who made everything seem more exciting. The memory of Taehyung’s teasing smile sent a rush of warmth through him.

When Jungkook was finally dressed, wearing a simple white button-up and black trousers, he headed downstairs. The smell of breakfast greeted him as he approached the kitchen. His mother, as always, was bustling around, preparing a hearty meal.

“Good morning, sweetie,” she greeted him, setting a plate of eggs and toast on the table.

“Morning, Mom,” Jungkook replied, smiling as he sat down. “You didn’t have to make all this.”

“Nonsense,” she said with a wave of her hand. “You’re always rushing out the door. You need a proper meal to start your day.”

Jungkook chuckled softly as he began eating. His mother was right—he often skipped breakfast, grabbing something quick on the way to work. But today, he appreciated the calmness of the morning, enjoying the warmth of the food and the comfort of his home.

His mother sat across from him with her own cup of tea, watching him with a fond smile. “You seem happy lately. Anything special going on?”

Jungkook paused mid-bite, feeling his heart skip a beat. “Uh, no. Just… work, you know. It’s been good.” He tried to keep his tone casual, but the excitement bubbling inside him was hard to hide.

She raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced, but didn’t push the subject further. “Well, I’m glad you’re doing well.”

Once breakfast was over, Jungkook grabbed his briefcase and headed out, waving goodbye to his mom. The drive to the office was uneventful, but his excitement built with every passing minute. He knew Taehyung would be waiting for him, and the thought made his heart race.

When Jungkook entered the office building, everything seemed as usual—the hum of conversations, the tapping of keyboards, the occasional ring of a phone. But his heart raced knowing that Taehyung was somewhere inside, and they had their little secret to keep.

He made his way to his desk, setting his things down and starting his work. His phone vibrated, and he glanced at the screen to see a message from Taehyung.
