The morning sunlight filtered softly through the curtains of Jungkook’s cozy apartment, casting a warm glow over the living room. It was a quiet weekend morning, perfect for a light breakfast with his mother. The familiar scent of fresh coffee and toast filled the air, mingling with the sense of comfort and peace that always seemed to settle when Jungkook was with her. But today, his mind was far from relaxed. His thoughts kept drifting back to the night before with Taehyung—those shared whispers, gentle touches, and the thrill of feeling so deeply connected.
As they shared their meal, Jungkook's heart beat a little faster, knowing the time had come to open up to his mother. He wanted her to know about Taehyung, the person who filled his world with so much joy. Taking a deep breath, he set his coffee cup down and looked up, finding courage in the warmth of her gaze.
“Mom, there’s something I want to tell you,” he began, his voice soft but steady, and his mother looked at him with gentle curiosity, setting her mug aside to give him her full attention.
“What is it, Jungkook?” she asked, her voice encouraging.
He hesitated just a moment before continuing, “I’ve been seeing someone… it’s serious, and I wanted you to know because he means a lot to me.” His gaze fell briefly to his lap before he looked up again, his voice barely a whisper. “It’s Taehyung.”
The surprise flickered across his mother’s face, her eyes widening for a split second, but the initial shock quickly melted into a gentle, understanding smile. Reaching across the table, she took his hand in hers, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“Oh, Jungkook,” she murmured, her tone filled with warmth. “Thank you for telling me. I had a feeling there was someone special in your life… I just didn’t know it was Taehyung.”
Jungkook released a small, relieved laugh, feeling the tension in his chest ease with her acceptance. “I was worried about telling you, but… he makes me really happy, Mom. We’re serious about each other.”
Her smile deepened as she held his hand, her eyes bright with pride and love. “That’s all I could ever want for you—to find someone who brings you happiness. Taehyung sounds like a wonderful person, and if he’s the one you’ve chosen, then I’m behind you both completely.”
Jungkook’s heart filled with gratitude as he held his mother’s hand a little tighter. The words he’d been holding inside for so long were finally out, and her acceptance made the moment even sweeter.

Meanwhile, across town at his family’s grand mansion, Taehyung sat in the elegantly furnished living room, preparing himself for a similar conversation with his own parents. His mother and father sat across from him, their expressions attentive as they sensed the seriousness in his gaze. He’d always had a strong bond with his parents, but sharing something so close to his heart was still nerve-wracking.
“Mom, Dad,” Taehyung began, his voice calm yet filled with emotion. He glanced between them, seeing the familiar warmth and love in their eyes. “There’s something I need to tell you. I’ve met someone… someone I love and want to spend my life with. His name is Jungkook.”
His mother’s eyes softened, a delighted smile spreading across her face. Reaching over, she clasped his hand, her gaze brimming with excitement. “Oh, Taehyung,” she murmured, her voice full of warmth. “I had a feeling Jungkook was someone special to you. I could see it in the way you spoke about him.”
Taehyung felt a wave of relief wash over him, knowing that they saw and accepted the happiness Jungkook brought him. His father gave him a warm nod and a proud smile. “It’s obvious how much he means to you, son. If he’s the one you’ve chosen, then we support you wholeheartedly.”
Taehyung’s mother’s smile widened, her excitement only growing. “In fact,” she began, glancing at her husband before turning back to Taehyung, “perhaps we should start thinking about an engagement. You two clearly care deeply for each other, and we’d love to see you make it official.”
Her suggestion caught Taehyung off guard, but as he considered it, the idea settled comfortably in his heart. An engagement. He wanted nothing more than to be by Jungkook’s side, to make their love known to the world.
“That’s exactly what I want,” he admitted, his voice steady and full of certainty. The thought of making Jungkook his, of building a life together, felt so right.

Later that evening, Jungkook was curled up on his couch, his heart fluttering when his phone buzzed with a call from Taehyung.
“How did it go with your mom?” Taehyung’s voice was soft, a mix of nerves and excitement coming through the line.
Jungkook couldn’t help but smile. “She was happy for us—completely supportive. She even asked when she could meet you officially, as more than just a friend.”
Taehyung chuckled, relief evident in his voice. “I’d love that. And… my parents were the same. My mom even suggested an engagement.”
The word hung in the air for a moment, making Jungkook’s heart race. “An engagement?” he echoed, his mind whirling with the weight of the idea.
“Yes,” Taehyung replied, his voice growing even more tender. “I know it might feel sudden, but… it feels right, doesn’t it? I want to make this official. I want everyone to know how much you mean to me.”
Jungkook’s voice softened, his heart overflowing with affection. “It feels right to me, too. I’m ready whenever you are.”

In the following days, both families gathered to celebrate their sons’ happiness. The air was filled with warmth and laughter, and it felt like a dream come true for both Jungkook and Taehyung. Their families embraced each other, quickly falling into easy conversations as though they had known each other forever.
Taehyung’s mother, her eyes sparkling with excitement, began discussing potential dates for the engagement ceremony, her enthusiasm contagious. After a bit of planning, they settled on a day that felt perfect for everyone. The room filled with joyful chatter as they celebrated the new beginning that lay ahead.
Throughout the evening, Jungkook and Taehyung stood side by side, hands intertwined, their hearts filled with gratitude for the acceptance and love surrounding them. They both knew this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey, a life filled with love, support, and the promise of a shared future.
As they exchanged glances, each could see the future in the other’s eyes—a future they were ready to embrace together, hand in hand, with their families by their sides every step of the way.
