The buzz of excitement hadn't died down since the dorm announcement. After endless rounds of negotiating, begging, and strategic persuasion, everyone had received the golden words from their parents: Yes.
As soon as the green lights were given, it was chaos. All of them needed to fill in the dorm registration forms ASAP, but there was one small problem: They had completely forgotten about the deadline.
Izuko's POV
"GUYS. IT'S DUE IN 20 MINUTES!" Izuko yelled into the group chat, her heart practically jumping out of her chest.
Nya's response was instant. "WHAT?! 20 MINUTES? NO WAY. I'M STILL IN MY PAJAMAS."
Izuko stared at her screen in horror. Of course, Nya would be the one lounging in her pajamas at 2 p.m. on a school day. Why was she even surprised?
"Forget your PJs, GET MOVING!" Avy chimed in, probably in the same state of panic.
Sarah, on the other hand, was the only one who remained calm. "Relax, we've got this. I'm already on my way."
Izuko groaned. Of course Sarah was already en route. Miss I-Have-My-Life-Together. Meanwhile, Izuko was sitting on her bed, half-dressed, with her laptop dangerously close to overheating. "Why does this always happen to us?" she muttered to herself.
Nya's POV
Nya was not ready for this level of chaos. She wasn't even wearing real clothes, and now she had less than 20 minutes to not only get dressed, but also sprint across campus to the admin office. Why did she think procrastinating was a good idea? Oh right—because it usually worked.
"Izuko's going to kill me if I don't make it," she mumbled as she yanked her hoodie over her head, somehow getting stuck halfway through.
Text from Mia: "Running to the office. Meet you there! PS: YOU BETTER NOT BE IN YOUR PJs STILL."
Nya, still stuck in her hoodie, groaned. "Why are all my friends so damn psychic?" She finally freed herself, grabbed her bag, and bolted out of the room.
Avy's POV
Avy was practically flying down the street. She had no time to worry about looking cute or composed. Her hair was flying everywhere, and she could feel the sweat building up on her forehead. But this is fine, she told herself. I'm totally fine.
Mia was already ahead of her, somehow managing to run and laugh at the same time.
"Come on, slowpoke!" Mia teased, not even out of breath. "Last one there has to treat everyone to pizza tonight!"
"NOT HAPPENING," Avy yelled back, her competitive side kicking in. She wasn't about to lose this sprint and have to buy everyone dinner.
Sarah's POV
Sarah, of course, was not running like a headless chicken. Nope. She had left her house on time, and she wasn't about to break a sweat over this. She was walking at a cool pace, her glasses perched neatly on her nose, with her bag swinging gently over her shoulder.
Her phone buzzed. "Are you guys seriously running? LMAO, I can hear Avy screaming from here."
Sarah chuckled. She glanced at her watch and smirked. "I'll save you guys a spot in line. Don't die on the way."
Hannah's POV
Hannah, bless her heart, had absolutely no idea what was going on. She had just joined the group chat when she saw the flood of messages and started panicking.
