Nya's pov
Nya couldn't help but roll her eyes as she watched Izuko and Sarah in another "we're-totally-just-friends" moment. Right, she thought, and I'm definitely not sassier than all of them combined. Watching them was like being in the middle of a rom-com, and Nya knew exactly how this "friendship" thing was going to play out.
The lunch table was buzzing as usual, with Izuko trying her best to keep a straight face while Sarah leaned in, way too close for it to be casual, flashing that signature flirtatious smile. Classic Sarah, Nya thought with a smirk. And of course, Izuko's cheeks went bright red every time.
Jenna grinned, "You know, Sarah and Izuko, you two could just... date already, you know?"
Izuko waved Jenna off, her face practically neon red. "Can you not, Jenna?"
Nya leaned back, fully enjoying the show. "Alright," she chimed in, adding her own sass, "as much as you two love giving everyone here a free show, can we get to the real question?"
Izuko gave her a side-eye. "What real question?"
Nya crossed her arms, her smirk widening. "Are you both still going with that 'just friends' story, or are you finally going to admit there's a little more to it?"
Sarah raised an eyebrow, unfazed. "Depends. You trying to get us to give up our secrets, Nya?"
"Oh please," Nya shot back with a dramatic sigh, "I don't need any 'secrets' from you two. It's all written on your faces, babes."
The whole table burst out laughing, and even Izuko cracked a shy smile. Sarah didn't even bother to defend herself; she just gave Nya a look that practically screamed, 'You know too much.' Nya knew Sarah was hiding something, but it was only a matter of time before she'd spill.
