Sarah's POV:
Sarah had spent the whole day planning, even though she'd only hinted to Izuko that it'd be a "simple movie night." But she couldn't deny that she wanted this night to be a little special. Just the two of them, with no one else around to interrupt her plan to finally see Izuko blush. She set up cozy cushions around the living room and dimmed the lights for a relaxed feel. When the doorbell finally rang, she opened it to see Izuko standing there, looking a little nervous yet adorable, a bundle of popcorn in one hand.
"Ready for a fun night?" Sarah asked with a grin, barely hiding the playful excitement in her voice. Izuko just nodded, her cheeks turning slightly pink. As the movie started, Sarah leaned in close to Izuko, resting her hand on the couch cushion right next to hers. Every once in a while, she'd whisper little comments about the movie, her voice just low enough to send a tingle down Izuko's spine.
When the main character did something particularly smooth on screen, Sarah smirked, tilting her head closer to Izuko. "You know, you remind me a bit of him. Those intense eyes." She let her gaze linger on Izuko a second longer, catching the slight widening of her eyes and the soft blush that spread across her cheeks. The sight was everything Sarah had hoped for, and she couldn't help but add, "It's pretty captivating."
Izuko's POV:
The moment Izuko arrived, she felt her heart racing. She kept telling herself it was just a movie night, but every glance from Sarah seemed to say otherwise. Throughout the movie, every time Sarah leaned close to comment on a scene, Izuko's mind went blank, and she had to focus hard just to remember her words. She felt like she was being drawn into Sarah's spell with every soft, lingering look.
At one point, their hands brushed when both reached for the popcorn, and Sarah didn't pull hers away. Instead, she casually let it linger, her fingers tracing a gentle pattern on the back of Izuko's hand, like it was the most natural thing in the world. Izuko felt her cheeks heat up, and her heart skipped as Sarah's thumb softly brushed her knuckles, her gaze never leaving Izuko's.
"So... enjoying yourself?" Sarah asked, her voice low and teasing, her eyes practically gleaming with amusement. Izuko nodded, managing a shy smile. "Definitely," she whispered, hoping her voice didn't sound as shaky as it felt. But Sarah just gave her a soft, almost secretive smile before turning back to the movie, leaving Izuko in a daze.
Nya's POV (earlier, teasing Izuko):
When Izuko had told Nya she was heading over to Sarah's for a "movie night," Nya hadn't held back. "Uh-huh, just a movie night," she'd said with a smirk, giving Izuko a knowing look. "You realize Sarah might have a whole plan, right? You've seen the way she looks at you."
Izuko had tried to shrug it off, but Nya just continued with a mischievous grin, "You better be prepared, Izuko. Who knows, you might even have to flirt back." Izuko had rolled her eyes, but Nya's words lingered, adding a thrill of nerves to her excitement.
Aysh's POV (thinking about Izuko and Sarah's connection):
Aysh couldn't help but grin whenever she thought about Sarah and Izuko. She'd seen the way Sarah acted around her—how her whole demeanor softened, how her gaze lingered a little longer. And Izuko, for all her calm and collected moments, turned into a blushing mess whenever Sarah was near. The two were practically made for each other; it was just a matter of time before they both admitted it.
That night, as she thought about them hanging out, she found herself grinning. She could practically see Izuko getting flustered under Sarah's subtle but expert flirting. "They're in for a good night," Aysh thought, hoping Izuko would finally realize she didn't have to hide her feelings.
