Izuko's POV:

Izuko's heart is pounding as she waits for Sarah at their old high school park. The place is filled with memories—their laughter, their fights, their friendship, and all the unspoken feelings they'd kept locked away. It's a sunny afternoon, but Izuko feels like she's standing on the edge of a storm, not sure if it will break her or set her free.

She's rehearsing what she's going to say when she spots Sarah walking towards her, looking effortlessly cool in her usual confident stride, hands shoved into her jacket pockets. The sight of Sarah always sends butterflies fluttering wildly in Izuko's stomach, but today, they feel more like a tornado.

"Hey," Sarah says, her voice soft yet steady, as she comes to stand in front of Izuko.

"Hey," Izuko echoes, suddenly feeling like she's forgotten every single word she'd planned. They stare at each other for a moment, the tension crackling between them like electricity.

Sarah breaks the silence first. "You said you wanted to talk," she says, her eyes searching Izuko's for answers.

Izuko nods, taking a deep breath. It's now or never, she tells herself. "Yeah, I did... Look, Sarah, I've been thinking about everything. About us." She swallows, her voice shaking slightly. "I don't want to run away from my feelings anymore. I... I think I've always loved you. I was just too scared to admit it."

Sarah's eyes widen in surprise, and for a moment, she's speechless. Then, a slow, radiant smile spreads across her face. "You really mean that?" she asks, stepping closer, her gaze intense.

Izuko nods, tears pricking her eyes as the weight of her confession sinks in. "Yeah, I do. I've missed you so much, Sarah. And I'm tired of pretending that what I feel for you is just friendship."

Sarah's POV:

Sarah feels a surge of emotions she can't even begin to describe. Relief, joy, disbelief—all of it wrapped up in the girl standing in front of her, the girl she's loved for years but never thought she could have.

Without thinking, she closes the distance between them, cupping Izuko's face in her hands. "Izu... you don't know how long I've waited to hear that," she whispers, her voice thick with emotion.

And then, before Izuko can say anything else, Sarah leans in and captures her lips in a kiss.

The Kiss (y'all l was waiting to write this foreverrr):

It's not just any kiss—it's a kiss that's been years in the making. It's gentle at first, a soft brush of lips that sends shivers down Izuko's spine. But then, as if they're both releasing all the pent-up feelings they've held back for so long, the kiss deepens.

Izuko's hands find their way to Sarah's hair, pulling her closer, and Sarah wraps her arms around Izuko's waist, lifting her slightly off the ground as if she's the most precious thing in the world. The world fades away, leaving just the two of them in their own bubble of warmth and love.

Sarah's lips are soft but demanding, and Izuko can't help but melt into the kiss, her mind going blank except for the overwhelming sensation of being kissed by the person she's always wanted. It's sweet, passionate, and a little messy, like they're both trying to make up for all the lost time.

When they finally pull away, they're both breathless, their foreheads resting against each other, eyes closed as they savor the moment.

"I've wanted to do that for so long," Sarah admits, her voice barely a whisper, her breath warm against Izuko's lips.

"Me too," Izuko whispers back, her voice shaky with a mix of nerves and happiness. "I can't believe we waited this long."

Sarah chuckles softly, brushing a strand of hair away from Izuko's flushed face. "Better late than never, right?"

They share a laugh, and for the first time in a long time, everything feels right.
