Chapter 7 Definition of Fear

After his unconsciousness in the River of Grief Jordan wakes up safe and sound, although a bit hurt inside. He thanked Casper for pulling him out of the water, however it's not just him who did. It was also Glen, Lynn, her big sister Sasha, and their friend Bushin they knew that Jordan would go to the River of Grief and search for the missing pages from Oliver's Journal. All the sudden a stranger got in the way and stole his journal for herself. Lynn ran after her to retrieve it, and so did Bushin. Jordan tried getting up but fell on his right knee while still in pain from the River of Grief's effects in him. Casper told him to rest and stay here while he went with the others to help get Oliver's journal back. Exhausted Jordan lies down on the snow to catch his breath for he had been holding it in for too long while Riley stays with him as she pat his forehead.

As Lynn entered the forest, she has been the first person the girl in a cloak attacked, but she defended herself quickly. All of her combat training with her friend Jordan paid off, but only because she remained calm after her talk with Sasha. When Lynn makes her first move, this is where things get more interesting, the arm on the Girl in a cloak possesses the same kind of blood mark, but the color is purple. Lynn was still focused on the girl who was so swift, she read through Lynn's moves and blocked them like they were nothing. Lynn learned to be patient when fighting the Girl in a cloak and misdirected her by following Jordan's combat steps and combined her own. With those she's able to beat the Girl in a cloak and take the journal away from her.

Bushin on the other hand noticed who's wearing the cloak right away and told her to take it off, and when she did, Sasha was surprised to see her familiar face while Bushin just crossed at her.

The girl that was standing right in front of them is Bushin's big sister, Bushin is not surprised she would come though it didn't stop him from asking roughly "Why are you here and what do you want Lucy?"

"Nothing much, just wanted to tell you it's time to go back home. You're lucky time flies faster here-"

"I knew that!"

"Aww you didn't let me finish. Can't I talk to my baby brother at least for once."

"I'm not a little boy anymore, and you're not a thief."

Casper came a little late, but he heard argument from Bushin and Lucy. Those two had a toxic brother and sisterhood. Jordan, Glen, and Riley heard the same from here. It makes him realize that he's not the only one with a bad relationship with his older sibling. Though their relationship is not as bad as last time according to Bushin. And Jordan is relief their just fine, however he didn't understand why she took Oliver's journal. And She told him she just wanted to get Bushin's attention and to apologize to him for the past mistakes she made, Bushin felt the same as well, since he forgives her, then he apologizes back at her. The apology for two Kage's siblings reminds Jordan he has to go back to Emily, not only that but he saw visions of Black Heart going to kill his sister, it frightens him. Then they disappeared when he heard the cries coming from the Mists in the Cold Realm, he looked back and saw the mist growing. Not only that but as he looked closer, he saw the crying souls reaching out to him.

"We've got to go now!" Yelled out Casper, as they all began to run.

All 7 friends and 1 ghost fled from the River of Grief whilst avoiding getting caught by the crying souls, going to the Icy Forest, and to the Cold windy storm. As they got there Jordan got enough energy to send his friends to Aurora, but he stopped and got distracted by Black Heart who is leading the crying souls towards them.

So instead, Bushin shifted everyone right back to Aurora. And insists he fights alongside his sister against Black Heart since she chose to stay. They fought brutally against one another both in combat and with power, the more they fight the harder it gets for them to endure another hit from Black Heart. He dashed, defeating both Bushin and Lucy like it was nothing. Bushin threw a multiple number of rocks with his psychic but Black Heart breaks them all with only his right palm raised. So, he had no choice but to hold him down by increasing the strength into his own power. Bushin felt the strength of The Shadow's resistance from his Psychic ability to paralyze him. In less than at least 10 seconds, Black Heart slowly transforms into Bushin and broke free from his hold, and vanished, then he grabbed Bushin's left wrist tightly, and in doing so Bushin's energy is being drained as Black Heart tightly squeezes it, then he uses some of the Bloodmark to transfer it to Bushin helpless. Lucy rushed in to stop, but He froze her with a flick of his finger.

Eventually Bushin screamed in pain as he started bleeding so much. Causing more than one injury on his body. After that Black Heart let's go of his hand and knocked him him out by hitting his back neck. Seeing her brother unconscious Lucy was shocked, and with that sudden feeling. Bored by the short fight Black Heart releases Lucy allowing her to escape with Bushin from him, and it left the dark shadow smiling a bit.

Jordan and the others have finally escaped from Black Heart's Wrath, but were still left surprised at his appearance, not only that but Sasha saw Bushin harmed with his sister Lucy. She ran towards them to see how much in pain he is, but Bushin told her not to worry, "I'm fine Sasha" Though she smiled she's still worried and has to make sure he's in good condition. Jordan, Casper and Lynn and Glen thought the same. Soon Bushin went unconscious, and Sasha caught him before he falls to the snow. Not long after Sasha saw blood coming out of his wrist, not only that but saw that his injuries are a lot worse since his fight against Black Heart. Bushin took his last breath as he lets out his word "Sasha?" and he eventually closes his eyes.

Afraid and saddened Sasha begged him to wake up, but his body nor he responded to her voice. It was at that moment she knew Bushin wasn't unconscious.

"Bushin please." Sasha begged "You'll be okay, I know it. Just don't leave me please not again!"

At this point, they still have time to heal him, but it's short. If they bring him back to their base before his recovery, he won't be saved by then, not even his own blood can stop that.

Toby Glitched his way to them once he found out about what happened with Bushin. Toby learned a few methods of stopping a patient with bleeding injuries so it's a good thing he did.

"He'll be okay." He said as he helped Bushin with his injuries "Trust me, I've done this before, he can heal fast but not like this, to do that we have to recover his injuries first and-"

Toby stopped explaining when he saw Bushin's wounds and injuries slowly disappear. His friends are also surprised this happened. Lynn already knew how that was possible when she saw Jordan's hands placed on Bushin's shoulder. Sasha looked at Jordan with realization that he saved Bushin using his own powers, she was not relieved nor happy when he did that, it was a rather shocked and disappointed reaction."

"Like I told you before... I'm not letting someone else lose theirs."
