Chapter 13 Final Goodbyes

Jordan was in shock due to the first time Lynn risked herself for him, and convinced Della that she needed to go back to protect everyone. Then Della agrees and casts a spell that brought her back to life and at the same time she would help Lynn defeat her father. She turns to Jordan and smiles as she brightens up into a light and disappeared. Only now did he realize what his lost brother Cedric and his mom Carla were teaching him. Jordan realized that he sent him there to understand that Lynn is strong enough to handle things on her own even though it hurts. Now he knows that its best to let go of the things that were important to him in order to move on.

Jordan finally awoke from the Eternal Darkness to space where he finds himself down on the moon, he picked himself up and took a close look at Earth.

"Everything looks bigger than I pictured" he said to himself. Afterwards he heard a loud boom coming from a far, he responded quickly by shifting himself to the void of space where he saw Lynn fighting back against Eternal. He was speechless then. After one impact Eternal was knocked down, Jordan had never seen someone get him so angry that Eternal attempted to grab her, this is when Jordan flashed through the battle and chopped his large hand, next Eternal was hit by Sasha's thunderbolt and now Bushin's psychic which broke Eternal's defenses and with the final attack Lynn defeated Eternal. Both she and the Grand Ancestor both crashed into the planet of which used to be home. Jordan landed safely on ground and tried to run towards her but was held back by Sasha. Both Lynn and Eternal continue to fight when they are low on energy, but that didn't stop them. Jordan is terrified for Lynn as she continue to punch Eternal hard again, and again. And when she was going for the last blow, Jordan couldn't watch so he closed his eyes in fear, but unexpectedly... Lynn stopped and spared his life, Lynn sat down exhausted in the battle. Later after Eternal slowly fades away to dust with his son Kurai, Jordan caught Lynn before she fell the ground, slowly gets down on his knees and gently lay her down on his lap.

"Lynn? Are you okay?" Jordan asked with worry on his face.

"I think so." Lynn replied, "Just had a little scratch that's all." Then Jordan felt Lynn's heartbeat slowly until it stopped as Lynn closes her eyes slowly. Jordan saw her laying down lifeless while looking at her scars and wounds. Jordan knew what he had to do in order to move on, then he closes his eyes. Sasha thought he was going to heal her, but she knew he wouldn't, despite Jordan's efforts to let go he still couldn't do it. Until a spirit places her hand on Jordan's shoulder. Jordan looked up and saw Riley's spirit shaking her head, telling him not to do it. Alas Jordan made up his mind.

He decided to take his own life for Lynn. He muttered the words in whisper, thus transferring all the life energy he had to Lynn, and when the time comes for him to die. Riley's spirit transfers what's left of her energy to him, this made him unsure why she did it, until he remembered her promise to his mom. Riley smiled but vanished with sadness in her eyes.

Lynn is finally awake, and her siblings are happy that she is well. Jordan was happy to see that Fredrick and Lynn had forgiven each other even after all that happened. Afterall, even after the biggest mistakes are made, redemption is still possible. Jordan's smile disappeared, knowing that he had to leave everything behind to begin his quest and the fact that Black Heart is still unknown to him. If there are things unknown to him, then he's sure there is more to discover than what meets the eye.

"This is only the beginning" Jordan thought to himself. "I won't stop until I found out who you are first or what your quest is." With all the promises he made for himself he decided to fulfill his destiny, but before he started, Jordan decided to go to Earth to look at his childhood memories before leaving for good. He walked into the neighborhood first to tell the Ashfalls that Glen is okay and that there's no harm done to him. They are happy to hear that.
