Chapter 3 Where her journey begins

After some time of getting together with Willow Lydia, Lucas, and Axe, she met up with Charlotte, who are trained by Jay and Zain. She waved at her and greeted "Hi Charlotte" "Hey Lynn!" Charlotte greeted back. "How are you doing?"

"Just fine." Lynn replied with a smile.

During Charlotte's archery practice, she did perfect shots, all arrows she fired at hit the target center, the next thing she did after that was copying Lynn's powers to create weapons, and fabricated a shield mixed with a hover board. Lynn was surprised when she watches her fly above and block the rocks thrown by Zain using his growl, but later she got jealous. "I wish I can do that." After all that training Charlotte went through, Colt and Zain allowed her to take a short break, she hangs out with Lynn talking about their own training method. Exhausted, Charlotte lay down on the snow beside Lynn just sitting on it. She was wondering why Lynn came to her, but she doesn't mind asking.

"So?" "What brings you here?"

"Oh, nothing much. Just ran a few errands." Lynn answered with a smile. "Actually I came to see if you're doing fine. You've been away from us for like two days."

From that moment, Charlotte's smile faded, she looked down to the ground. Upset she told Lynn "It's Toby. We had a huge argument, I tried to stop him from going on his own to fight Argus but... he lashed out before I could say another word. And Skylar... she's not in a good mood since yesterday." Lynn was stunned to hear this. Charlotte understands that Toby had a rough childhood since Argus killed his parents, but him leaving on his own, it's worse than she could expect. Lynn decides to help Charlotte find Toby somewhere far from here however they must be quiet, or the others will hear them. Lynn and Charlotte searched for a spaceship get to and fly in, only to see that most of them are from their team's base. Lynn and Charlotte didn't know what else to do, they can teleport to another planet if they want to, but Skylar's ears are very strong when it comes to hearing. That's until Willow and Dusk helped them. But instead of helping them find a spaceship, they found one of Lucas' prototypes in his hideout they could use. Dusk said to Lynn and Charlotte. "You can use one of Lucas' prototype vehicles."

"Wait, you didn't say anything about stealing them" Willow replied with realization."

"Don't worry about it." Dusk replied to Willow, then turns his head to Lynn and Charlotte saying. "Lucas tested one of his prototypes and all of them are good to go." Before they could choose at least one ship, Lucas got inside and immediately found Willow, and not the other two. "Willow? What are you doing here?" Lucas asked. Willow started stuttering as she tries explaining, while Lynn and Charlotte snuck inside the Lucas' car. The color base is White and the lines on it are color black and cyan, Willow couldn't hold onto the act which caused Lucas to find her suspicious. The car suddenly triggered its alarm because Lynn and Charlotte tried stealing it. Lucas eventually caught them with his net trap before they could run. Then he cuts it down once they were caught in it. "You guys! Why'd you try to get my car? It's not yet ready to fly" Lucas asked in shock realizing that Lynn and Charlotte broke in to steal his prototype. Lucas took a moment to think about it, then he turned his head to Dusk with an angry look on his face. Dusk chuckled nervously.

"What no!" Sid said to Lynn "You can't go there. Not in this state."

"Sid it'll be fine, if we don't go out and find Toby then who is?" Lynn said talking some sense. "Just stay here and we'll be back as soon as possible." Sid felt upset that her friend had to get out still not yet healed from Chris' death, so she hoped

"Well... Ok but only because I have to look for Alina and Glen, they went missing somehow."

As Lucas' prototype flew away from Aurora, Lucas summed up what Charlotte and Dusk told him while piloting it. "you're telling me that Toby left out on his own, so you decided to find a ship to fly on all just to find him?" all four of them nodded. "You guys should've told me that earlier, before breaking into my built hideout. I mean come on" While Lucas and Dusk are having an argument, Lynn was looking at the stars becoming aware that Toby left because he did not just want to fight Argus but to kill him to avenge himself and his parents. Lynn's thoughts about that immediately wiped out and switched to her brother raise his sword and kill her father. Then they were interrupted by Charlotte once she called her name "Lynn?"

"You seemed bothered today." Said Charlotte

"Oh." "Yeah... right. I'm fine, just don't worry we'll find Toby" Lynn replied unhappily.

Charlotte began to realize that Lynn was thinking about something else, she knows Lynn's doing anything to help a friend, and yet something just feels wrong to Charlotte. So, she said in doubt "Lynn, I don't think this is about finding Toby isn't it. I know there is something else you're feeling about besides your father's death and Fredrick's betrayal."

When Lynn is about to tell her what has been bothering her since yesterday, she heard a knock from the window. Lynn looked behind her back and yelped "Ah!"

"What the- Rick! Sabrina!" Lynn couldn't believe her eyes as she saw two of her ex-college classmates, hanging on to the door handle and holding their breaths. Lucas looked back and got surprised seeing them, so he opened the door for them to get inside.

"You idiots!" Yelled Lucas "Why are you here You guys would've died if I hadn't let you in!"

"I just thought we could come by to visit you. But you weren't in your house, so we found a flying saucer in your garage and had a little joyride and then we set the GPS to find you." Rick explained

"Wait." Lucas said as he stopped his flying prototype "If you drove the saucer all the way here, then... why are you outside by the door-" Lucas finally came to realize that they went out and the saucer was missing, and little did Rick know that the saucer he flew with Sabrina was one of his prototypes. "Rick... What did you do to it?" Lucas asked rigidly.

Willow on the front seat of the car holds onto the seatbelts tightly, knowing that if one of his tech or prototypes are destroyed or stolen it doesn't end well.

Rick had to react quickly, or it will get worse the more he kept his mouth shut. "It blew up." Rick responded in less than 5 seconds. This made Lucas' eyes widen but he kept calm and started driving. "Welp at least you guys are safe here." Lucas sighed angrily.

"But I'll deal with you later."

Lynn and the others finally set foot on their destination which is in Frost Storm. She starts to shiver because she remembered the time she was here with Jordan, Casper, Terran and Sid, the weather is strong, and the behemoths attacked them once.

"Man, it's cold!" Exclaimed Dusk, "I didn't knowyou've been here before Lynn" Lynn nodded, and Dusk huffed as he prepares snowclothes for him, Willow, Charlotte, Lynn, Lucas, Sabrina, and Rick
