Chapter 2 Jordan's dilemma

Back in planet earth Jordan tries to envision the shadow and he nearly reached to that point, he tried again and again, but still failed to see it. Then on that day a knock on the door broke his concentration, Jordan opens the door and receives a box that shows a hologram letter from the council, once Jordan read it, his eyes widen. 

He was accepted to be a guardian. He didn't know how to react. It was good that Jordan finally got his dream after he worked hard on his studies and his ways of being one, but that led him to a much more complicating story. 

He was given two choices that he couldn't choose, Jordan thought to himself "This isn't good. I did want to be a guardian and all, but leaving Earth? I'm not sure if I can just do that" The more Jordan overthinks the more difficult for him to decide. 

Lynn came for a visit only to end up looking at Jordan overreacting silently. "Jordan" Lynn called "Are you alright" Jordan heard her right behind him and hid the letter from her, then he answered anxiously "Oh.... Yes, yeah, I'm fine." "I was just busy with other things" 

Lynn notices something odd about Jordan as she saw Jordan hiding a box behind him "Since when were you busy?" Lynn asked, "You're never busy on summer." 

Jordan knows that he can't lie to his own best friend, he showed her the box revealing the acceptance letter from the guardian council, and he said, "I got accepted as a new guardian member." "Although I'm not sure if I'll come back"

 Lynn read everything on the letter and then froze, the moment she looked at Jordan all she saw was him leaving as the last time she'll ever see him. 

Jordan waved his hand up and down continuously at her eyes while asking "Lynn you good?" Occupied in her mind Lynn stood there glaring at him, Jordan waved again but faster this time. Lynn finally blinked when Jordan snapped his fingers twice. 

"Oh sorry." Responded Lynn "I just got lost there. Ha" 

Lynn seems sad when she was told by Jordan that he got his dream. She was supposed to be happy, but she isn't, her love for him just made her feel something different from what she wanted to feel. Jordan had the same dilemma as Lynn's. 

It was short term or long term. Lynn helped Jordan clear his negative thoughts, but he still can't choose which one. As much as he wanted to go, he didn't want to leave the one planet that he considered home, so Jordan needed space to clear his thoughts. 

He walked into the forest where he used to stay as a child, where he talked to animals, where he met a bear Lizzy, and where he used to learn how to use his combat skills and powers with his former master and Bushin's grandfather Ashura. He searches for the perfect spot to stay and clear his mind, but when he saw the tree where Jordan used to climb on while talking to Lynn, he walked away immediately from it. That's when Stuart and Jordan passed by each other. He kept on searching but never found at least one spot to stay. The last spot where he could find very peaceful and silent was on a hill. Jordan teleported to that place only to find himself with his siblings and his niece Ellen.

"Sup guys how are you doing?"

Jordan asked politely

"We're good just spending time with my daughter"

Apollo answered

"How 'bout you Jordan"

Emily Asked

"Not so great"

Jordan answered Emily.

He had a little conversation with his siblings about the acceptance letter. They didn't know what's so bad about getting accepted. 

Apollo replied to him "Jordan that's great!" "You finally got an opportunity of a lifetime why aren't you so happy?" 

Jordan answered stressfully "Because that means I'll be leaving home" Apollo decided to have a brother talk with Jordan about the Council accepting him as guardian, while Emily and Ellen played one of her favorite games. 

When Apollo and Jordan where talking they seemed to have a little good bond with each other after so long. Apollo said to him calmly "Jordan don't be afraid of what choice you'll make, it's not about what will happen if you choose, but about what your heart desires, no one else will decide that except you." 

Jordan shook Apollo's hand and thanked him also for their time together as brothers, and now that Jordan's thoughts are cleared from his mind, he has enough time to follow which one he must choose.
