1. Have I Seen You Before?

Siya sat cross-legged on her bedroom floor, surrounded by a flurry of old memories scattered amidst the dust-covered pages of an ancient photo album.

The scent of nostalgia hung heavy in the air as she gingerly turned each page, her fingers tracing the faded edges of moments long gone.

Her heart skipped a beat as her gaze landed on a particular photograph, nestled amidst a sea of smiling faces.

There he was, Shubman Gill, the golden boy of their school days, his charismatic grin frozen in time. She couldn't help but smile, a bittersweet pang of nostalgia washing over her as she remembered the unrequited crush she had nursed for him back then.

"He was always the one everyone noticed," she mused aloud, her voice barely above a whisper. "And I... I was just another face in the crowd."

As she stared at the image, memories flooded her mind like a torrential downpour, each one carrying with it a fragment of the past she had long since tucked away.

She remembered the thrill of stolen glances across the classroom, the flutter of butterflies in her stomach whenever he walked by, oblivious to the turmoil he stirred within her.

"He probably doesn't even remember me," she chuckled softly, a hint of sadness tingeing her laughter. "Why would he? I was just the studious, skinny girl who sat in the back of the class."

But even as she spoke the words, a part of her couldn't help but wonder what might have been.

What if he had noticed her, seen beyond the facade of popularity to the girl beneath? Would their paths have taken a different turn, or was their destiny written in the stars long before they ever met?

"He's a famous cricketer now," she murmured, her eyes lingering on his image. "And I'm just... me. A simple psychiatrist living an ordinary life."

Yet, as she closed the album and gently placed it back on the shelf, she couldn't shake the feeling that somewhere, amidst the faded pages of their shared past, there existed a connection that transcended time and space.

And maybe, just maybe, their paths would cross once more, weaving their stories together in unexpected ways.

Siya stared at the photograph of Shubman Gill, her mind wandered back to their school days, to moments etched in the corridors of memory like faint echoes of a forgotten melody.

With a wistful smile, she closed her eyes, allowing herself to be transported back in time to the days when their lives intersected, albeit in ways he never realized.

The classroom buzzed with the energy of youth as Siya sat at her desk, her gaze drifting inevitably to the figure of Shubman at the front of the room.
