32. Fresh Start.

Settled into their seats in the stands, Siya found herself between Komal and Mihir, while Medha approached with a smile. Mihir quickly stood up, thinking she might need the seat.

"No, no, Mihir, you sit," Medha said, waving him off. "I'll just sit beside you, no problem."

Mihir hesitated for a moment, but then nodded, settling back into his seat. It was clear that he was becoming more comfortable around Medha, his usual shyness easing away.

As they all chatted, Medha suddenly turned to Mihir with a teasing smile. "You know, the last time we met, we had a deal," she began, her eyes twinkling. "Remember? The date?"

Mihir's face flushed slightly, but instead of stumbling over his words, he reached into his bag and pulled out something small and neatly folded. He handed it to Medha, his expression a mix of nervousness and anticipation.

Medha took the paper, unfolding it curiously. It was a pass to a café, one she had mentioned liking on social media.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "You... you remembered?" she stammered, genuinely shocked. "I didn't think you'd take me seriously-I was just joking!"

Mihir gave a small, shy smile, scratching the back of his head. "I did remember. And, well, I saved up for it from my internship salary. I figured, why not make it a real date?"

Medha was speechless for a moment, her heart warming at the gesture. She hadn't expected him to go through the trouble, and the fact that he had, touched her more than she could say. "Wow, Mihir... I'm... I'm really touched," she finally said, her voice soft with emotion. "I didn't think you'd actually plan something like this."

Mihir looked down, feeling a bit self-conscious. "I just thought it would be nice. You know, after everything... and I wanted to keep my word."

Medha smiled warmly, placing a hand on his arm. "I think it's really sweet. I can't wait."

Mihir looked up, his face breaking into a relieved grin. "Really? I was worried you might think it was silly."

"Not at all," Medha assured him. "It's one of the sweetest things anyone's done for me."

They exchanged a smile, the atmosphere between them growing more relaxed and open.

Siya, noticing the growing connection between Medha and Mihir, couldn't resist teasing them. "If you two are done with your cute little moment, how about giving some attention to the match, hmm?" she quipped, a playful smirk on her face.

Medha glanced at Siya, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh, come on, Siya Di. You can't blame us for being a little distracted. Speaking of distractions... how's your focus with Mr. Abhishek Sharma out there on the field?" she teased, nudging Mihir to join in.
