30. Overthinking.

A few days later, Siya and Mihir were in Ahmedabad. Siya, already up and dressed, was trying to wake Mihir, who was still fast asleep.

"Mihir! Mihir, wake up!" Siya said, shaking him gently.

"Mmm, kya hai Di? Let me sleep," Mihir grumbled, pulling the covers over his head.

"Mihir, your university program-did you forget?" Siya said, trying to sound urgent.

Mihir barely opened one eye. "Let me sleep, Di. It's too early."

"Are you serious?" Siya said, exasperated. "If you don't attend the program, you'll get zero practical marks. Then you'll be dreaming about graduating without any actual credits!"

Mihir groaned and turned to face her, still half-asleep. "Yaar, Di, five more minutes."

"Five more minutes won't help you with your grades," Siya said, hands on her hips. "Come on, get up. We need to get ready and go. It's important."

Mihir reluctantly dragged himself out of bed, yawning. "Fine, fine. I'm up. Just give me a few minutes to get ready."

Siya smiled in triumph. "Thank you. Now hurry up, or we'll be late."

Mihir, still half-asleep, grumbled, "Aapko neend mein soye insaan ko jagane ka paap lagega, Di."

Siya rolled her eyes and said, "Haan haan, theek hai. Ab jaake taiyaar ho jao. We have to get going."

Mihir trudged towards the bathroom, mumbling, "Ganji Chudail."

They were waiting for their cab outside their hotel.

Siya checked her watch and said, "Mihir, the cab should be here any minute now. Did you check if you have everything?"

Mihir, adjusting his backpack, replied, "Yeah, I've got my laptop, notes, and even my water bottle. I think we're all set."

Siya smiled, "Good. I just hope we make it to the program on time. I don't want you to miss anything."

Mihir grinned, "Relax, I'll be the one getting the marks, not you."

"Oh, please," Siya said with a laugh. "You'd forget your head if it wasn't screwed on. I'm just making sure you don't flunk your program."

Mihir rolled his eyes playfully. "Thanks for the confidence boost. I'll try not to disappoint."

Their cab pulled up, and the driver got out to help with their bags.

As they settled into the cab, Mihir turned to Siya, "By the way, Di, when are we going to meet Abhishek bhaiya?"

"Tomorrow," Siya replied, adjusting her seatbelt. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh, just curious..." Mihir trailed off, looking out the window. "I should probably focus on preparing for the program, though."
