31. Surprise.
"Medha, remember, don't let him know we're here. Just make up an excuse and bring him down," Siya instructed Medha over the phone.
"Ay Ay, Captain!" Medha replied enthusiastically.
"By the way, Di..." Medha began, her tone playful.
"Yes, yes, Mihir is with me," Siya said, anticipating her question.
"Great! This is going to be so much fun!" Medha exclaimed. "I can't wait to see the look on bhai's face."
"Just make sure he doesn't suspect anything," Siya cautioned. "We want it to be a total surprise."
"Don't worry, Di. I've got this. I'll think of something believable," Medha assured her.
"Thanks, Medha. This means a lot," Siya said gratefully.
"Anything for you, Di. Now go get ready to surprise your man," Medha replied.
Siya smiled as she hung up the phone, her heart racing with anticipation for the surprise they had planned for Abhishek.
"Bhai, come on, let's go," Medha said, tugging on Abhishek's arm and leading him toward the elevator.
"Where are we going?" he asked, puzzled.
"To the waiting area of the hotel," she replied, pressing the button for the ground floor.
"But why?" Abhishek persisted.
Medha rolled her eyes dramatically. "Because I want to throw you off the big balcony," she said sarcastically.
Abhishek chuckled, shaking his head. "Very funny. Seriously, why are we going there?"
Medha grinned, trying to keep her excitement in check. "You'll see. It's a surprise."
"Surprise? For me?" Abhishek raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, and you'll love it. Now stop asking questions and just trust me," she said, giving him a playful nudge.
"Alright, alright," Abhishek said, laughing. "But if this is another one of your pranks, I'm not falling for it."
Medha put on an innocent face. "Would I ever do that to you?"
"Yes, you absolutely would," Abhishek replied, still smiling.
The elevator dinged, and the doors opened to the ground floor.
Medha grinned and playfully covered Abhishek’s eyes with her hands. “No peeking! Trust me, okay?” she said, guiding him carefully towards the waiting room.
“Medha, what are you up to now?” Abhishek asked, a mix of curiosity and amusement in his voice.
“You’ll see in a second,” Medha replied, her excitement barely contained. “Just a few more steps.”
