Hyunjin didn't get sick pretty often, so when he did- it got pretty bad.

It was in the middle of their concert schedule when he woke up one night to an achy body and chills. He had spent most of the night tossing and turning, kicking the blanket off of him and then pulling it back up when he got too cold because he couldn't regulate his temperature for the life of him.

He probably annoyed Jisung who shared the bed with them, since their hotel apparently didn't have two beds available, but Jisung didn't seem to mind and never once told Hyunjin to hold still. Small wins.

When he sluggishly cracked his eyes open early in the morning, (so early that it was still dark outside) at first he thought it was because he was having a hot flash again, but then he registered his stomach crawling all the way up his throat as he gagged.

Hyunjin quickly tumbled to the floor in an attempt to get to his feet, the blanket tangling around his limbs to bring him crashing to the tile. The sudden weight against his stomach caused Hyunjin to gag some more as the nausea roiled in his gut.

"Hyunjin?" Jisung's sleepy voice asked as he sat up in bed, but Hyunjin didn't have the energy to tell him why he had fallen to the floor because he was too busy desperately clamping a hand over his mouth as he hiccuped. He untangled himself from the blankets and made a mad dash to the restroom.

The next ten minutes of his life was spent desperately clawing at a toilet lid as he emptied dinner from his stomach. His knees bruised with the force he had fallen to the floor with and he groaned miserably as he choked on his own vomit.

Eventually, Jisung sleepily padded into the restroom, turning on the light and settling on the floor beside Hyunjin to pull his sweaty hair out of his face and rub circles into his back. "It'll be okay," he grumbled, "just let it out, yeah?"

Even if Jisung had never seen Hyunjin this sick before- at least, not seriously sick- he tried his best not to be too anxious as he helped Hyunjin through his bout of vomit until he was just dry heaving.

Finally, when Hyunjin's stomach felt empty enough that he couldn't possibly throw up anymore, he leaned back against the glass shower door with a low groan.

Jisung was immediately kneeling in-front of him, brushing back his sweaty bangs to place a hand on his forehead. He winced and pulled back as Hyunjin just sat there with his eyes squeezed shut, panting like a dog.

"You definently have a fever. Stay right here."

Jisung highly doubted that Hyunjin would be going anywhere anyway, but he still made sure to keep an eye on him in case he passed out as he ruffled through the medical kit that Chan always made sure they kept in their bags.

His hands shook as he shuffled around the medical kit for a thermometer, and when he finally found it and returned to Hyunjin, his eyes were closed and his head was lolling downwards.

"No no no, stay awake for just a bit longer," Jisung instructed as he forced Hyunjin's head back up by the chin. He winced when he noticed the saliva that coated his bottom lip.

Jisung lightly patted Hyunjin's cheek until he groaned and cracked his eyes back open.

"Good job, just stay awake so I can make sure you're, like, not about to die or something."

It probably wasn't the best thing to say to a sick person, but Hyunjin didn't even seem to hear him as Jisung made quick work of pressing the thermometer under his tongue, and then carefully cleaned the drool from Hyunjin's lips with the edge of his sweatshirt.

And the moment that the thermometer beeped and revealed his temperature, Jisung was fumbling with his phone to text Chan to get to their room. Chan was way more well versed in taking care of a sick person than Jisung was, and he was probably still awake looking over their concert videos for things to fix.
