Changbin
Hyunjin could not sit still, and everyone noticed- even those who weren't even in the same dorm as Hyunjin. It was easier for Changbin to see, though, because they lived together even if 3RACHA weren't around much to see Hyunjin.
Typically, their schedules meant they arrived later into the night well past dinner. Even so- Hyunjin was always awake at the dorm waiting for them because that's just the type of person he was. Unbelievably sweet. He always made a big enough meal for all of them and left the leftovers in the fridge for them with a sticky note telling them to eat. He always picked up their mess in the dorm so that they wouldn't stumble over it on their way back. When he was awake and not holed away in his room painting- he always greeted them and thanked them for their hard work.
And, eventually things changed for the worse because when the three of them actually were home- Hyunjin rarely exited his room anymore. It was concerning behavior because while Hyunjin was an introvert- he also liked to be silly and have conversations with them. He also liked to sit out in the living room when no one was home and do his art there when he thought that no one knew (even if they all did because he fell asleep on his easel one night.)
Concerning? Yes. Enough to warrant an intervention? According to Chan, not quite. They decided to let him be because his behavior wasn't exactly disrupting them- even if he did seem a little more withdrawn when they were on schedules.
They got home particularly early one day when they got the demo recordings done on time for once and even added a backing track. They opened the dorm door at seven o'clock, fully expecting to find Hyunjin watching television while diligently painting away on his easel- though the living room was completely empty and devoid of their usual roommate. Changbin felt worry radiate through his chest even if the others didn't look particularly bothered.
"I'm going to make us some rayemon for dinner," Chan announced, dropping his duffel bag on the countertop so that he could search their pantry for ingredients. Normally- the three of them never cooked and lived off of Leftovers, but Hyunjin always made sure their pantry was stocked. "Will someone go see if Hyunjin wants any? Or if he already ate?"
Changbin, of course, volunteered easily because it was a running joke that Hyunjin was his husband whom he needed to take care of. When he reached the door- there was no normal sound of music coming from the other side nor was there any light peeking from under the doorway. Did he have a schedule today that none of them knew about? No... Changbin shook his head, because Chan would have told him.
He knocked on Hyunjin's door once, twice, and received no answer. "Jinnie-ah? Are you decent?" Still no response. "Are you home? I'm opening the door." Changbin silently opened the unlocked door, and the only light from inside the room was the bedside lamp that illuminated the clump of blankets on the bed with Hyunjin's raven hair poking out of the pile. His sock foot stuck out the other side, hanging over the bed. Hyunjin really could sleep like the dead.
"Did he want anything to eat?" Chan asked from the stove, dressed in more comfortable clothes and his favorite beanie. Jisung sat next to him on the counter like a hawk to watch him stir the rayemon.
"Mmm, he was asleep and I didn't want to wake him. Make extra just in case he wakes up later hungry."
Chan stopped stirring to look at Changbin over his shoulder and Jisung gave him those wide concerned boba eyes of his. "He's... sleeping this early?" Jisung asked, eyebrows creasing in worry. "Is he sick?"
Changbin shrugged, feeling helpless. "He didn't sound sick, he was sleeping pretty heavily. He goes to bed early nowadays."
Jisung worried his bottom lip between his teeth. "He's been acting odd lately- do you think he's depressed?"
