═══════❀•°❀°•❀═══════ THIRD PERSON POV
Oh.
Audrianna looked around the destructed graveyard, scanning the area for remains of Maria's grave.
"Ma'am, you need to leave, this area is a worksite." a construction worker tried to warn her, but received a silent look instead
"Ma'am?"
"Why– why are they destroying the graveyard?"
"The city's planning to build a school over it, they thought it was more efficient and could cut them some money." the worker informed her, earning an annoyed scoff from the girl.
"Why would they build a school on top of a burial ground.." she muttered to herself, not expecting the man to hear her
"Beats me, I'm getting paid for this."
Audrianna shot a glare at the construction worker before walking further into the graveyard despite his protests.
She glanced down and noticed Maria's gravestone lying face–down on the ground, half–buried in dirt and soil. The scarf Maria had once lent to her was smeared with mud. Her heart suddenly felt heavy, weighed down by memories that were now faded away in time.
The girl clutched her mother's scarf tightly in her fist, struggling to contain her pain and resist the urge to lash out. She had promised herself not to project her suffering onto others, to keep her inner turmoil from becoming anyone else's burden.
Then the postpartum depression hit her... hard. Audrianna loved her daughter more than anything in the world—more than anyone else. But her heart felt heavy. It was like an emptiness she couldn't explain.
Every time Raegan cried, guilt and anxiety constantly came across her. She wanted to be the perfect mother, to give her daughter everything she deserved, but her own thoughts and doubts scared her.
She didn't know how to raise a kid, what if she fucks this one up? She would never be able to forgive herself.

As Audrianna walked into her room, expecting to be alone after a long day, instead she was met by the sight of her younger sister distraught on her bed.
"What are you doing in my room." the girl furrowed her eyebrows at Kelly, who was a sobbing mess.
The Latina couldn't form any words and just started blubbering gibberish.
