It's been weeks since Akashi Seijuro took on the position as owner of the Akashi company; replacing his father who, rather reluctantly stepped down and into retirement.

Even though he's gotten used to the accompanying stress and work load, he still hasn't had much time to plot out his social life, much less do anything more than just give you a quick peck on your cheek when you came into his office to make sure he hasn't drowned amongst his plentiful paperwork.

Honestly, as much as you were happy for him and all that he had accomplished, you couldn't ignore the consuming loneliness it brought on.

"Here you are, Miss (L/n)..."

You were jarred from your thoughts and brought back to reality when a cup of coffee was set down on the table in front of you. Up until that point, you had been absentmindedly staring out the window, looking out onto the massive front lawn, grass glistening with the dew from the night before.

"Kuroko" you said aloud, causing your butler to turn back in your direction.

Removing your hand from your chin, you took a brief sip of your coffee, allowing the creamy liquid to slide down your throat, leaving faint trances of sugar across your tongue. Kuroko waited expectantly, hands behind his back.

Nodding, you set your cup back down, "The coffee is very excellent."

Kuroko closed his eyes and bowed his head, "Is that all, Miss (L/n)?"

You shook your head and motioned for him to sit down across from you. Hesitantly, he walked over and pulled out the chair, carefully sitting down as if unsure.

"Miss (L/n)-"

"Call me (F/n). We've known each other long enough..." you told him.

He nodded, starting over again from the beginning.

"(F/n)... I really must be off to take care of Mr. Akashi-"

"We could have a maid do it this one time. I just want someone to talk to for a bit..."

He paused for a moment, considering such a thing. Finally he agreed but under a new condition: He would serve Akashi first and come back to you immediately. He promised that you two would be able to talk as long as you wanted or at least until one of the maids possibly broke something.

Over the course of three months, you and Kuroko had grown very close. At first, your daily talks consisted of things happening around the house or events that were upcoming. But after awhile, you two had become accustomed to each other's company and began talking about other things; deeper issues.

You shared dreams, interests and above all, secrets. But there was this one secret that was larger than all the rest...

One night, at such a late hour, you and Kuroko had been talking about what you thought the future held for the two of you. You would have never dreamed of having this conversation with Akashi. He's always so busy with work and company business. If anything, it would be one sided; you speaking to him and Akashi only half listening, shaking his head when you asked questions and humming his approval to some of your points.

Kuroko was so much different than what you had experienced with Akashi; a refreshing sort of change that caused you to forget your loneliness and the person who caused it. With Kuroko, you felt like you could tell him everything and he would actually listen, that his attention would be on you and you alone.

Staring into his bright blue eyes, you leaned forward without thinking. Much to your surprise, instead of leaning back to avoid you, Kuroko moved in closer. He closed his eyes, lips brushing against yours tenderly. Unable to push aside the neglected feeling Akashi had brought upon you to even think this was wrong, you captured his lips in a long, slow kiss.

Moments later, you pulled away, cheeks dusted a light shade of pink. Your heart was beating fast within your chest as you gazed over at your new secret, one that you both had to hold inside.

After discussing what had just happened with Kuroko, you sorted out your feelings and it was decided that Akashi would be kept in the dark until you could move on with Kuroko. As part of his plan, Kuroko wished to gain enough money to continue his education and once he had earned enough, it would be financially safe for you two to come clean and leave the Akashi household.

Delighted by the seemingly fool proof plan you had developed with Kuroko, you went to the bedroom you shared with Akashi.

Upon opening the door, you were greeted with the sight of Akashi, laying in a rather exhausted fashion on the edge of the bed. Noticing your arrival, he sat up, staring at you intently before standing and walking toward you.

"(F/n), I know I haven't been giving you much attention seeing how busy I've been the past couple of months... But I swear, tonight I'm going to make it up to you."

Wrapping his arms around your figure, he buried his head in the crook of your neck and nibbled at your skin softly, earning a gasp from you.

This is wrong. This feels so wrong... What would Akashi think if he knew about Kuroko and I? What would Kuroko think if he knew about this?

"A-Akashi!" you bit your lip as you tried to push him off.

"What is it, (F/n)?" he asked, a confused look on his face.

"I-I can't..." you told him, feeling quite ashamed.

"Why is that?"

He peered into your (e/c) eyes, instantly knowing what this was all about.

"You love him..." he spoke softly, taking a step back. "You love that butler, Kuroko..."

Looking away, you avoided eye contact with him as you shook your head, "Y-Yes. I have fallen in love with Kuroko... But in my defense-"

"I know" Akashi sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed once more. "I haven't been able to give you what you want, what you need... And you've found all that in Kuroko..."

He looked up at you, his normal expression giving way to hurt for just a moment before reverting back.

"I'm happy for you, (F/n). You've found someone who can be there for you. I hope he loves you just as much as I wished I could have."

He stood up and brushed past you without so much as a glance and stopped at the door.

"Goodnight, (F/n). And know that no matter what, I'll always love you, deep in my heart..."
