Leaving the calm area, he began fearing the glances of humans, so Mark called a cab to take Donghyuck home. The trip home wasn't long as the vampire managed to carry the human close enough to the area where he lived. The thing is, Donghyuck began waking up. He slowly opened his eyes, met Mark's, and smiled, perhaps, enjoying finding himself sleeping on the vampire's shoulder. He kept closing and opening his eyes until he fully woke up. He also got energetic all because of the ecstasy pill that must've taken effect already. He talked. Incoherently at first, then just excessively about some project that neither Mark nor the driver knew about.
"Thank you a lot," Mark said to the driver and paid him as quickly as possible.
The latter dwelled time.
"Are you sure? Your friend doesn't look good."
"He's fine," Mark said, staring deeply into the driver's eyes and hypnotizing him. "You can go now."
The driver nodded and left. Mark sighed and led Donghyuck to his apartment, tightly holding onto his waist. At this moment, the human turned even more talkative, saying a lot about exams, but he did not mention what happened a few hours ago. It seemed like he didn't know it happened. He only knew that he woke up by Mark's side, in a taxi, feeling a little drunk. Perhaps, he thought they drank together!
That would explain why Donghyuck flung his arms around Mark's neck as soon as the vampire pushed him inside and closed the door. Confused, the vampire let him be at first, thinking that the kid just wanted to be hugged. But things started to get frightening when Donghyuck lifted his head, stared into Mark's eyes, and then leaned in all of a sudden. Freezing to the spot, Mark suddenly lost the ability to foresee things. He let the human peck his lips and even slip his tongue inside before he went pale and he shoved Donghyuck away.
"What the hell are you doing?" he yelled, wiping his lips in revulsion.
Donghyuck appeared confused as he looked at Mark.
"I like you," he said softly. "Don't you feel anything to me? At least a tiny bit of affection?"
"Go to sleep," the vampire replied coldly.
Mark turned to go to Donghyuck's bathroom but never reached it as the apartment's owner fell on his knees and glued himself to the vampire's legs.
"I like you a lot, hyung," he giggled, looking from below. "You're one of those men who make me crazy, and I can't stop thinking about you. There is no other man like you. Hyung takes care of me, and sometimes he turns cold, but it only makes my heart warmer."
"Donghyuck, stop!" Mark shivered. "Don't say these things!"
It was a direct confession he was hearing and it made him uncomfortable.
"Hyung is the reason why I starve," the human went on. "When you forget me, it breaks my heart and I can't eat. When you remember me, I can't eat either as I'm too nervous. I also want to look good to you, so I started my diet, and you..."
Donghyuck held Mark's legs even tighter.
"You don't feel anything to me, right? Maybe you're not even single... You must have a girlfriend you want to protect therefore you come to someone useless like me to get blood. I get it..."
"Donghyuck..."
"Just love me at least once. P-please," the human teared up. "I'll try to get rid of all these feelings if only you spend a night with me."
Back in the taxi, Mark read a little about taking ecstasy. One of the things he found was that the person opens and might say things they wouldn't normally say eye to eye. Another thing that scared Mark the most was their sudden affection for everyone around. Adding these two together made Donghyuck unbearable. Not only did he confess but also felt more attracted to Mark.
