SORA POV:

I walk out of my father's office, I look at Elias. He was waiting for me.

I sigh and we start walking down the hall to leave the building

"He still said no?" Elias asks

"He hates his brother so obviously he would dislike his brother's son" I say

"But your cousin has nothing to do with your dad's and your uncle's issues from the past"

"I know but you know my father, he's...not the best at second chances"

We get inside an elevator

"But your dad-

Elias says before I cut him off

"He's my father, not my dad" I say

"What's the difference?" Elias asks

"A dad is someone who is there for you, for everything moment of your life. A father is just a male who you know is your parent"

"So who's been your 'dad'?"

"Growing up it was my uncle from my mom's side, my mom's brother. He was there for every parent-teacher conference, every school event, he helped me out with many stuff. Even when I moved back he was there, even though I was much older"

"What about when you were in Texas?" Elias asks

"I guess for that...it was Jaxx's dad, he was so supportive of me and Jaxx, he was there for 8th grade graduation when my father wasn't. He was there for me a lot as well" I say

We arrive at the first floor and get off the elevator

"So you never really had a good connection with your father?"

I look at him as we walk out the building

"I know he loves me and I love him too, but sometimes I wished that he showed it more"

"I see" Elias mumbles

"I mean it's like he chooses work over his own family..."

"I mean it's a family business, he grew up knowing that he was going to take over it" Elias says

"I guess" I say

We get inside the car

"I guess I see my father as someone I work with...it's been like that for a long time, ever since Steven left..."

JAXX POV:

I'm at a park with Candi. We aren't really doing anything at the moment but sitting down at a bench. We walked around and we are talking.

"What's up with you and Sora lately?" Candi asks

I look up at her with a confused expression

"What do you mean?" I ask

"I mean you guys have been a bit distance lately"

"Well Sora is working most of the time, he's going back on tour soon"

"Mhm" Candi says
