Chapter Twenty six

My Mom gave me a knowing look asI stood on one of the makeup tables. "Guys!" I shouted over the noise. "Guys." I screamed. They all stopped their cheering and turned to look at me. I hopped off the table and back onto the seat I was sat on a few minutes ago. " Josh and I have something to tell you." I said. Josh came and sat next to me on the same chair.

"Now, I know this is going to be a shock to most of you obviously. But we wanted you to know and don't know if we can hide it from you guys for much longer without it coming noticeable." Josh explained. He could feel me tremble with fear so he rubbed his thumb over my hand.

"Is it bad?" Mackenzie asked in her cute innocent voice. I smiled at her.

"We don't think it's bad but it's your own opinion on what you think." I said.

"Okay. Well a few months ago, I did something. Something that I no longer regret doing. I have been keeping something from you guys for a while now and the only people who knows is Brooke, Paige Nia, Abby, Kelly and my Mom." I said. I took a deep breath. This is it. The moment of truth.

"I'm...I'm..." I stuttered. "I'm pregnant." I gulped. The room was full of gasps and little chatter forming between the Moms and girls.

"What?" Was the first thing screamed at us. I turned to look behind me to see it was Maddie who had yelled. She looked furious. She looked jealous. I knew I made a promise and I broke that promise but Josh is my babys father.

"I'm going to be a mother." I whispered.

"But you promised." She said in disbelief. "I should have known you were lying." She shook her head.

"I wasn't lying Maddie!" I exclaimed. " I didn't even know it was going to happen, I'm thirteen I should be able to live my life but I cant. Josh is the father and he was the one who chose to be around me for this baby." I explained. "You knew that because I told you yesterday at Kelly's house for the sleepover." I continued.

SLAP! She had slapped me. I held me cheek in shock.

"You still lied. I can't be friends with someone who lies." She said and turned to walk out the door.

"Yeah well don't worry because after this weekend, you will never have to see me again." Isaid. She scoffed and carried on walking slamming the door hard as she left.

I fell into Josh and relaxed against his arm. "It'll be okay." He whispered. I nodded and walked out the room ignoring everyone else calling me back. I just wanted to talk to Maddie and get back on talking terms even if we're not as close as we used to be but I can;t lose a friend like her. Not now when I need everyone I can get to help me through this.

I roam the halls listening to the sound of crying that lead me into an empty room to find Maddie sat in a corned curled in a ball crying into her hands.

"Maddie..." I sighed. "I'm really sorry." I said walking closer and sitting down next to her rubbing her back.

"Why did you promise me that when you knew you couldn't keep it Chlo?" She asked. I sighed in relief when I heard her call me Chlo, it meant she wasn't as mad as I thought.

"I didn't think this would happen, I knew that fi you were happy, your dancing would improve even more and then Abby would want you on the select team instead of me because I hate it. I wanted to dance with you and the other girls on my last competition." I explained.

"So you were serious? You are no longer dancing?" She asked. Stunned. Now she has no one to make her stronger and better. I mean she has Kendall but Me and Maddie have been head to head since we were 4 and we know how to push each others buttons.

"Yeah, I cant dance after I passed out in dance, I was told I could dance at this competition and then I wasn't allowed to anymore incase I lose this baby to." I explained.

"Wait you were having twins?" I nodded. "You miscarried one?" I nodded again. "Oh My god." She breathed.

"I'm sorry." I whimpered. She stood up and wiped her eyes before pulling me into a hug.

"It's okay. I'm sure I can find another boy to be with." She smiled.

I smirked. "I know someone you could get with?" She smiled and we both linked arms before walking out giggling and walking back to the dressing room to see everyone packed up and ready to go waiting for us.

"Everything okay?" Melissa asked. We Nodded before we walked to the bus.
