"Our turn!" Hisoka called out to Kiyotaka. "For what?" "A bath." Kiyotaka looked at Hisoka and saw that his smile was slightly off. "If you try anything funny you'll be sleeping in the ground with just your head sticking out." Hisoka blinked twice, processing the warning he had just received. "I wasn't going to! But just for clarification, does kissing count as 'anything funny'?" Kiyotaka thought for a moment. "Depends, I'll warn you if it gets to close." "Deal!" Just like that Hisoka was off to start their bath while Kiyotaka took a break to enjoy a nice glass of ice water. Just as he was about to finish, Hisoka came up behind him and kissed him right behind the corner of his jawline, "Bath's ready~" Kiyotaka prevented a small smile from forming, to stubborn to see the effect one small kiss had on his emotions. "Let's go then." Kiyotaka purred as he got up and brushed past him, leading the way for a momentarily stunned Hisoka.
Hisoka ended up not doing anything in the bath. Kiyotaka couldn't tell if he was disappointed or not, but he felt clean and that's all that matters. He plopped down on the bed and curled up into a ball in attempts to keep all the warmth close to him as he fell asleep. He was already half asleep when he felt the bed dip behind him followed by being engulfed by warmth as Hisoka curled around him. Hisoka wrapped an arm around him and gently stroked Kiyotaka's collar bone with his thumb. It brought and unexpected sense of calm to his small body. His head was clear as he drifted off to sleep.
Hisoka felt Kiyotaka's muscles relax completely, and admired the look of calm on his face. The body in front of him felt so fragile and small. It was endearing to Hisoka to know that someone as powerful as the Kiyotaka was able to trust him so much to let himself be completely vulnerable. Hisoka continued to stroke Kiyotaka's collar bone as he gave the body a light squeeze, not wanting to have to let go. He also found himself effortlessly falling into a deep sleep.
It was morning and Kiyotaka and Hisoka were woken up by the sound of their bedroom door crashing open. "WAKE UP!!" Killua had shouted, not happy with the extent to which Hisoka and Kiyotaka seemed they were going to sleep in. It was also because they were hungry. It was evident as much when Killua's yelling was followed by the loud grumble of Gon's stomach. Kiyotaka sat up lazily, Hisoka's arm falling off him limply in an exaggerated attempt to get him to stay put. Hisoka stopped complaining when Kiyotaka went to stretch his back. It was completely innocent on Kiyotaka's part, but the same can't be said about Hisoka. Kiyotaka had stretched with his knees on the bed and with his arms in front of him, began to slowly push out, stretching until he laying lazily on his stomach still struggling to get out of bed. Hisoka chuckled at the clear lack of motivation to get up. He himself got out of bed, threw on a shirt, and picked Kiyotaka up, placing him over his shoulder, Kiyotaka limp looking like a towel instead of a person.
Gon and Killua were almost completely embarrassed by everything they had just seen. Hisoka and Kiyotaka had been cuddling! Killua was extra embarrassed at the thought of cuddling with Gon, but Gon was just thinking about how cute Killua's expression would be if Gon cuddled him. But they were both flustered over what happened after. They knew cats and dogs stretched like that, but to see a person do it was embarrassingly more embarrassing. They were also flustered by the very domestic seeming relationship Hisoka and Kiyotaka had. It definitely took them by surprise. They were even more surprised to walk in to the kitchen and see Kiyotaka laying lazily across the back of Hisoka's neck on his shoulders, and to see Hisoka skillfully preparing what was clearly breakfast.
"Wasn't it the other way around at the hunter exams?" Gon whispered to killua who had taken the seat next to him at the island, watching Hisoka cook. "Yeah! You're right it was" Killua whispered back. "He couldn't cook." Kiyotaka said, startling the two who were unaware their conversation was heard. They also looked at Hisoka who looked more like he was playing with the food more then cooking it and gulped. 'This could end very badly' they both thought. It didn't seem bad when the food was placed in front of them, in fact it looked and smelled delicious. They still took their first bite with nervous unease. They paused after they chewed a few bites, looked at each other, then began to chow down. "He's a fast learner." Kiyotaka said as he put another, much more civil bite into his mouth. "You couldn't have bothered to tac that on to your last sentence?" Killua asked with a full mouth, his words barely comprehensible. "What's the fun in that?" Was the response he got. That and the small cackle that came from the chef himself.
"Hey, umm, I don't know what you two had planned today, but me and Gon have to go practice nen in order to be allowed into greed island." Killua said to no one in particular, just whichever of the adults would listen. "You can just practice here." Hisoka, who was half listening responded. "Gon is an emitter type. A pretty destructive one at that. I don't know about you but I don't want this place getting trashed." Kiyotaka responded with a little tiny bit of sass coming through his tone. "Then what do you suggest Kiyo~" "Well we could go to that shut down amusement park nearby, Gon could use the unwanted parts there to practice his nen. Killua will find a source of electricity to pull from and it's a win for everybody. "Amusement park it is~!"
