Kiyotaka took a minute to think about the deal presented to him. He knows very little about this world so being on his own wouldn't necessarily be ideal. He was also free now, free to travel and explore the outside world, even if it wasn't his own. This man could make that very possible, and not have to worry about getting lost or finding food and a place to stay. He was being given the freedom to choose the tasks that he would be doing to pay the man back. He would be in control of himself. Hisoka does look like trouble and mentioned fighting, but he didn't have to hold back here. He could fight to his hearts content and without consequence by the sound of it. "Fine. I accept your deal." Hisoka grinned "Great! We leave for the hunter exams tomorrow!"
"What are the hunter exams?" "You'll see." Hisoka took a glance back at Kiyotaka. They were walking in the direction Hisoka had initially been walking in when he stumbled across Kiyotaka. "But don't worry, it'll be fun~!" "If you say so."
They walked in silence for the most part. Every now and then Hisoka would manage to get Kiyotaka talking. Most of the conversations were innocent. Most of them. "So, Kiyo~. How do you feel about killing?" Hisoka stopped and turned to meet his eyes. They hadn't changed. Kiyotaka shrugged and began walking again, Hisoka falling in place beside him. "I guess it would depend on the situation ... but ... I'm not opposed to it." That answer excited Hisoka, "perfect~". Then something Hisoka hadn't expected happened, Kiyotaka had returned his 'pleasantry' by asking him how he felt about killing. Hisoka's eyes shown at the boy taking even a little interest in his feelings! "Well, I'm like you I'm not opposed to it. I kill when it's convenient. I love to fight strong opponents, but that usually results in death. Oh! But I do spare the lives of people I think have potential! I let the grow into ripe fruits fresh for me to pick!" "Your oddity seems to know no bounds." Hisoka couldn't help but laugh! At least he's caught the boy's interest in some way. He'd, in a way, baited Kiyotaka in. That almost guaranteed he would have a loyal little familiar at his summons soon! He just had to set the hook! This would be fun.
It was relatively quiet between the two until they'd stopped at a restaurant. Hisoka had ordered, but it was definitely more then just an order. The glances and tone of voice was for that to be it. It was most likely a code. Most likely to take whatever the Hunter exam was. They were led into a private room that, upon the door closing, began to descend. "When we get there you can behave however you'd like, BUT *Hisoka said holding up his finger* you need to stay within a 5 foot radius of me at all times unless instructed otherwise. I have every faith in your abilities but this is your first Hunter exam, and I can't have anyone else trying to steal you away from me!" He got dramatic towards the end, but Kiyotaka saw logic in what Hisoka said, so he agreed. He also figured it be easier for Hisoka to relay tasks and strategies if he stayed close. Maybe he could run off just to spite him. Even if only once.
The elevator dinged and the doors opened, there were 43 other people in the room. The room was just a large square, but the closer Kiyotaka looked the easier it was to see that one of the walls wasn't fixed in place. Interesting. He was brought out of his thoughts by the mention of his name, "Kiyo~" "huh?" Hisoka held out something circular with the number 45 on it which he took and put it on his chest to mirror Hisoka. "This is your identification number for the duration of the exam, do take care to not lose it" Kiyotaka only nodded in response and began to look around the room at the others present, a lot more had shown up in the short time he'd been there, upon doing so he turned to Hisoka. "So how do you and number 287 know each other?" Hisoka was genuinely surprised by this question, he was also surprised by the sarcastic but true question that followed, "what? Is he an assassin you've managed to put in your back pocket?" Kiyo had asked knowing the strang looking man was an assassin, he enjoyed the serious and surprised look on Hisoka's face. It was a lot more entertaining then his mock surprise. Taking in the small victory, Kiyo looked straight at the man in question sending him a knowing and taunting look. Number 287's eyes widen and looked at Hisoka behind him. Hisoka only snicker and shrugged before signaling to the man that he'd tell him later. He got a small glare in return but the man walked away to occupy himself elsewhere. "To answer you question yes! He and I have an agreement of sorts. I'd like to call it a comradeship or even friendship, but Mr. Tsudere over there can't have his scary reputation soiled~" he said, mockingly. Kiyo didn't even acknowledge Hisoka after he spoke. Just continued observing the other participants. "So cold Kiyo~"
After about another half hour of waiting he'd made eye contact with a very round, middle aged man whose eyes shone at him. He started to approach, but Hisoka had returned from the little 'show' he'd put on, making another participants arm disappear. Kiyo watched the plump man's eyes widen in fear before letting out a nervous chuckle and walking in another direction. 'Thank goodness I was able to avoid that.' As if he knew what he was thinking, Hisoka leaned down to say a quick "your welcome~" in his ear. Not even a minute later the room began to shake and the 'false' wall was lifted to reveal a strange looking man. "Looks like this is everybody! Well, follow me."
