It was as he suspected, as soon as he allowed himself to trip, he was grabbed by the waist and pulled into the chest of his target. "Whoa! Are you okay? That could have been a nasty spill." Genthru asked, trying to mask his sly smile with an innocent and energetic one. It might have worked if it wasn't being used on person he currently held to his chest. Kiyotaka gave a slight nod, putting a ghost of shyness on his face. "It could have." Genthru's smile didn't falter seemingly falling for the 'shy' act and being pleased by it. He probably thought it would make it easier to obtain his goal. The thought made Kiyotaka upset, but only acknowledged the feeling before moving on from it in order to obtain his own goal.
"Um... I think I cam stand now" Kiyotaka made sure to say quietly and maintaining the shy act. "Ah! Of course!" Genthru said, letting Kiyotaka step back. "Were you headed to the sweets shop?" Kiyotaka let a small smile grace his face, "I was ..." He paused looking Genthru in the eyes before purposefully darting them away, "would you - would you like to accompany me?" Genthru put a gentle hand on Kiyotaka's back to gently start guiding him to the sweets shop just a few buildings down, "Yes. I'd like that." Genthru figured out pretty early on that he would have to be the doing and initiating the conversation. So he did. "I'd this sweets shop good? I've never been in myself." To keep the carrot dangling, Kiyotaka offered a response for the man's 'efforts'. "I have. My favorite thing they have are the candy kebabs they offer. It's different everyday, and I like getting to try all the different sweets for cheap!" Kiyotaka made his tail swish like a dogs would when excited and flicked his ears for dramatic effect. He knew it was the right choice when he saw Genthru eyeing his cat-like appendages.
Genthru had taken Kiyotaka to the sweets shop and even behaved like a gentleman and paid for Kiyotaka and who was he to refuse free sweets. Now the two of them were sitting under a shaded tree enjoying their spoils. Kiyotaka could feel Genthru's eyes continuing to flicker to his ears and tail. Kiyotaka even made his tail 'accidentally' brush up against Genthru's hand that was on the grass supporting him before immediately flicking it somewhere else making it appear to be the result of him enjoying the sweets. The action had the desired effect. He could tell Genthru wanted to touch again, after all, Kiyotaka was well aware how soft his tail, ears and hair were. Even he'd be wanting to pet fur that soft. Which is why he knew it'd work.
When Genthru didn't give in right away, Kiyotaka continued his assault, greatly tempting Genthru's patience. Fortunately for Kiyotaka, the man had very little. It only took about four more brushes of his tail to the ball rolling. "Hey, um, Kiyotaka?" "Yeah?" Kiyotaka turned to him, his tail now still and his right cheek puffed out slightly because of the sweet he had tucked there. "Can I ask you a potentially sensitive question?" Kiyotaka pretended to think, and even look a little frightened at the prospect. "I suppose. After all, I do owe you for the sweets." "The sweets were on me so you don't have to answer if you don't want to." Genthru said, sticking to the gentlemen persona he'd decided on in the beginning. "How about I just start off easy for both our sakes, I'd hate to scare you off" Kiyotaka knew the reaction Genthru was looking for so he gave it to him, chuckling slightly at Genthru's little joke.
"So. Are the ears and tail real?" Kiyotaka gave a small nod, looking away and making sure to appear frightened by what might come out of Gentru's mouth next. "They look so soft, can I touch them?" Kiyotaka continued his flawless performance, "You don't think I'm weird? Or, or an abomination?" "And why would I think that?" "Ah! No reason. Yes." "what?" "You can touch." Genthru reached his hand out, and seeing a carefully executed flinch on Kiyotaka's part made him go slower, as to not frighten the boy in front of him. He gently cupped Kiyotaka's head in his hands and began gently massaging Kiyotaka's ears. 'The little cat is far to gullible, he'll be mine in no time' Genthru thought has he felt Kiyotaka relax into his hands. Kiyotaka on the other hand had his thoughts on someone else. 'This would feel a whole lot better if it were Hisoka. I should end this quick.'
