"Except it's not." Kiyotaka spoke up. "Come here you two." Without any protest the two walked over to him. Kiyotaka wrapped his arms around the boys like a cat protecting his litter. "They're going to walk out of here, and you're going to let them." "That's bull! You think we're gonna just let them walk out of here! No chance!" Again it was Nobunaga who protested, but the rest were thinking the same thing. Those boys were not allowed to leave.
"They are leaving." Kiyotaka's cold and demanding voice cut through the thoughts of the other members. All their focus was now on him, but they didn't dare raise another word of disagreement. "If it will make the lot of you feel better, I will keep an eye on them until you find out a little more about the chain user." The troupe all turned to one another, before turning back to Kiyotaka. "That's fine, but don't let them out of your sight!" Nobunaga responded, right now he was a little too blinded by grief, at the loss of his friend, to be concerned about upsetting Kiyotaka.
"Here that boys?" Kiyotaka asked the two boys who were now stuck in his grasp while he pet their heads. Gon while still conflicted about Kiyotaka and Hisoka's relationship, leaned into the touch. Killua on the other hand, was a little stiff. He wasn't used to affection like this, especially from someone older then him. Kiyotaka didn't seem to want anything in return for helping them or acting like this with them. That was a first for Killua. Even his parents were only affectionate with him when they wanted something from him, and felt the need to try and either butter him up or attempt to manipulate him. In a way the affection he was receiving now, scared him.
"You don't need to be scared, I'm just trying to make sure the two of you get out safely and without making unnecessary enemies." Kiyotaka whispered so only Killua could hear. It surprised Killua because he'd never heard that tone of voice from Kiyotaka before. It was much lighter, and held an air of comfort and care to it. His muscles seemed to relax on their own, and Killua found Himself finally content with the hand on his head. Realizing this he only gave a slight nod that Kiyotaka would feel as acknowledgement. "Now if that's all can we go now?" Kiyotaka said to the whole group. The difference in tone and volume from just a second ago, startling Killua slightly. "Yeah. Troupe you know what to be on the look out for!" Machi said before disappearing, followed by the rest of the troupe.
When they were finally left alone, Hisoka let out a quick chuckle. "You never cease to entertain me Kiyo" He said with a soft, light, and amused tone while gently giving his head a quick pat before standing up. "It's time to head home, what do you intend to do with those two?" "Take them with us, the troupe will know if I haven't been keeping an eye on them." Hisoka let out an almost disappointed sigh. Kiyotaka lightly, playfully glared at Hisoka "What? Am I not allowed to sigh in disappointment of no longer having you to myself? hm~" Kiyotaka rolled his eyes "It's only for a few days, you'll live." Hisoka laughed again. "Lets head home." He said affectionately while reaching a hand out to pull Kiyotaka up who gladly accepted. Kiyotaka turned back towards the boys, "well? Come on now." Gon and Killua looked at each other as if deciding whether or not they should really go with the dangerous pair in front of them. Before they could come to a decision Kiyotaka's voice interrupted them, "Come now." Kiyotaka had said it with a sweet tone, but the boys felt like they absolutely couldn't obey, and their bodies moved to catch up before they could even process anything.
"I want ice cream" the boys heard Kiyotaka say. "We haven't had lunch or dinner, and it's getting late." "So?" "So, how about we stop somewhere to eat actual food, then go get ice cream." Hisoka said sounding like a suggestion, but letting the others know it was, in fact, a statement. "Whatever." Kiyotaka said, clearly not happy about the decision. Not like he could complain though, he didn't have any money, and he may be fast, but Hisoka would easily be able to tell if his money was being swiped. That meant that right now, the only way to get what he wanted was compliance. Annoying, but he'd live.
Hisoka had, surprisingly, let the two younger boys pick where they went to eat dinner. Kiyotaka was thankful they pick somewhere that had plenty of sweet items to choose from. He also saw something he'd never had before. "Hisoka" "Yes~" "What is chicken Alfredo?" The two boys paused. "You don't know was chicken Alfredo is?" Gon asked. "No. Should I?" "I guess not, but even Killua knows what chicken Alfredo is." Killua smacked him to tell him to shut up. 'Looks like there's a sad backstory with him as well' Kiyotaka thought. He knew the kids was an assassin, and had some family issues, but this suggests something a little deeper.
The boys noticed that Hisoka was not phased by the question and only explained what the dish was and what usually with it. He even went more in depth about the flavors and textures of the dish. Kiyotaka seemed to think it over before deciding he wanted to try it. "Thank you." He'd said to Hisoka without looking at him. "Of course Kitten." Hisoka replied, eyes still aimed at the menu, searching for what he wanted to eat. "Have you boys decided on what you'd like?" Kiyotaka asked, curious what they'd pick. "I'm getting pizza!" "And I'm getting spaghetti!" Both boys responded excitedly. "And have you decided yet?" Kiyotaka asked, his question directed at Hisoka. "I think I'll just have the chicken Alfredo."
