"Kiyo!" Hisoka's bubbly and breathy way of calling his name, snapped him out of his thoughts. "What?" He'd asked, tilting his head to the side, watching as Hisoka fan-girled over the cuteness but promptly answering the question, "You smiled!" "I thought I've smiled in front of you before? Why is this different?" "It just is! That smile was totally different from the other ones! It was wayyy cuter, and lighter, and it was just wonderful! It even made my heart skip a beat!" Hisoka started happily humming while finishing the rest of breakfast. Kiyotaka however was left confused,'How can a smile effect your heart?'

The rest of the day went by with Hisoka constantly stealing kisses any chance he got. He was also almost constantly touching Kiyotaka in any way he could, even when it wasn't the most conventional. He'd do something as minor as holding Kiyo's pinky with his own, to more intimate gestures such as putting a hand on his upper thigh when they would sit down to eat. Hisoka really wanted to touch him more intimately, but knew that even though he got the 'go ahead', if he moved to fast he'd scare his poor kitten off, and that was the last thing he wanted to do. So he started small, just to get him used to smaller forms of touching. He could tell event this much was slightly uncomfortable and new for Kiyotaka, so he was more then happy to take it slow and take in each and every new reaction Kiyotaka gave him.

The next day however was a little strange. Hisoka woke up to a weight on his chest and the sound of obnoxious purring. There was only one possibility of what, or more specifically, who, it could be. Hisoka considered this to be big progress because before he would snuggle up to Kiyotaka to sleep, but it wasn't really reciprocated, now, Kiyotaka was curled up on his chest completely relaxed. Hisoka wanted to just stay in bed and admire his kitten's sleeping face, but he had breakfast to make, errands to run, and fights to schedule. Hisoka slowly and regrettably began to move Kiyotaka off of him, and slowly get of the bed to go start on food.

Kiyotaka woke up after he suddenly felt cold, and realized the man he was using as his personal pillow and heater was nowhere to be seen. He'd even stretched and sat up to get a better look around the room, being disappointed for a second time when realizing Hisoka really wasn't in the room anymore. Instead of getting up and taking his time to get ready and make his way out to sit the bar and wait on food, he got up abruptly. He practically rushed out and right past the bar. He went right up to where Hisoka was cooking and placed himself between Hisoka and the counter and the stove. He didn't say anything, just nestled his way in and leaned forward so his head was on Hisoka's chest. He had surprised himself with how desperate for Hisoka's touch and attention he was. He had no idea what happened, it was like he was acting on instinct, an instinct he was having a very hard time ignoring and controlling.

Hisoka was surprised when he felt Kiyotaka push himself under his arm, and rest on his chest. He let out a quiet chuckle, "I think this is my first time seeing you with bed head, were you really in that much of a rush to see me~" Hisoka teased. Kiyotaka only rubbed his face on his chest. It felt like he was trying to get impossibly closer to him. It shocked Hisoka because now the behavior really was off. When he tried to pull back, so he could look at Kiyotaka's face, he was met with huge resistance. It took almost 3 minutes of trying to separate himself from Kiyotaka before he finally let go, deciding to take a different approach. "Kiyo" he whispered, and saw Kiyotaka's ears twitch in response, "You can hug me all you want, but I'd like to take a quick look at your face" It was silent for several seconds but Kiyotaka slowly loosened his grip, and Hisoka gently put distance between them by pushing on his shoulders, but not relinquishing the physical contact.

"Did you look enough?" Was the first thing Kiyotaka had said to Hisoka. He was getting restless and aggravated, and just wanted to be as close to the person in front of him as possible. "Ah, sorry Kitten, yeah I'm done" The millisecond Hisoka's hands left Kiyotaka's shoulders, he was back to being buried in his chest. He had stayed there until breakfast was ready, and even when he'd let go of Hisoka so he could bring the food to the table, he was right on his heels. As soon as Hisoka had set the food on the table and sat in his chair, Kiyotaka sat down on his lap. "Umm, not that I don't love you in my lap, but what are you doing?"

Kiyotaka took a minute to think before answering honestly, "I don't know." Hisoka looked a bit concerned at this, "Can you elaborate a little more?" Kiyotaka collected his thoughts, "I feel weird. It's like my body is acting on instincts that aren't my own. When I try to fight them, my skin feels like it's crawling and I can't sit still." Hisoka had a hunch about what was going on, but telling Kiyotaka would affect how he acted, and Hisoka wanted to observe what would happen if he listened to these feline instincts he's becoming 'victim' to. "I have a hunch about what's going on, but I don't know for sure." "Then what should I do?" "The only way I'll be able to know if I'm right is if you, even if it's just for today, listen to the instincts and don't fight them." "I guess I can try."

Hisoka had started to rub Kiyotaka's head, "Good Kiyo~" Hisoka had praised, sending a shiver down his spine and lead to a quiet rumble forming in his throat. Kiyotaka was hesitant to agree because it had not even been a half hour since he woke up and he was already behaving so strangely, what else would he feel compelled to do if the day continued like this? Hisoka, on the other hand, was excited to see where the day would take them, and all the new cute sides of his kitten he'd get to see.
