Outside the group was talking speculating about what happened. "So what did you do to win Kiyotaka?" Gon asked curious, causing the whole group to turn to him, because to most it hadn't looked like he did anything really. "I used his nen against him." "What do you mean?" Killua asked this time. "I made my nen feel like his nen. Because it felt like his nen, he didn't sense anything wrong. That allowed me to over ride the command and power he'd given to his nen men." 'Thank you Tsukishiro for that little idea'
"I didn't think something like that was even possible!" Bisky said, clear suspicion in her voice. In her eyes Kiyotaka was an outlier even in the Hunter world. He shouldn't be able to exist the way he does, but here he is in front of her. Though she couldn't deny his understanding and use of nen was extremely impressive. She'd looked up at Kiyotaka, and she met his eyes. It sent chills down her spine, it was like he could tell that she was thinking about him. Her feeling felt confirmed when Kiyotaka smirked at her before turning back around.
"What now?" Kiyotaka asked Hisoka after having a bit of fun with the girl Killua and Gon brought with them. "I have to meet with someone outside the game, and this feels like a nice stopping point. Wouldn't you agree?" Kiyotaka glanced at him momentarily before answering, "I would" "then that settles that, let's head for the exit." "But first let's get something to eat first." "Whatever you want Kiyo, did you have a place in mind?" "Anywhere with sweets" Kiyotaka shrugged. "I think I know just the place" "lead the way"
Hisoka lead Kiyotaka to a small hole in the wall place about 30min from where they were and about 15min from the exit. "It smells nice, I can tell the foods good already. How did you know about this place? You didn't go without me did you?" "I wouldn't dare. I heard about it from some of the more experienced players before we had a little fun, they didn't last as long as I would have liked." "Either way let's eat!" Hisoka chuckled at his enthusiasm. You couldn't see it on his face but you could hear it in his voice and the way he walked a little faster than usual through the door.
"What looks good?" Hisoka asked Kiyotaka who's eyes were darting all over the menu. "I don't know, I see a lot I'd like to try." "Try it all then, or whatever you have room for." "I think I'll do that, I'll start with 3 things for now though."
The waiters came over to take their orders, Kiyotaka started off with a huge stack of fluffy pancakes smothered in a sweet strawberry syrup, waffles topped with whipped cream and mixed berries, and a banana cream crepe. Hisoka just settled on a good balanced breakfast with a pancake, eggs, bacon and a piece off toast. Hisoka did however end up taking a few bites of Kiyotaka's food. All of it was delicious, but Kiyotaka was glad he'd only gotten 3 things because he'd barely been able to finish what he got even with Hisoka's little bit of help.
After the sweets break, they made their way to the exit of the game. "So this 'friend' is he strong?" "He is, but this is one of the few we're not looking for a fight from" "then why are we meeting him again?" "There's some information he has that I need and he isn't available very often. You know what that means right?" "Don't patronize me, I understand the importance of getting to him before he disappears again." Hisoka just laughed, it wasn't very often he got a genuine reaction from Kiyotaka of this kind. Once they were at the entrance, they went to log out, "let's get out of here" "see you in a second".
Kiyotaka never knew what to expect, but he could tell this wasn't right. He was stuck in a sea of white. Black would have been better then white. The white made his gut sink in a feeling of dreadful anticipation. As much as he hated the white, he didn't want to open his eyes, he just knew whatever came into view would be worse then the white.
He was right.
The thing that happened was a faint beeping coming through his unconsciousness. It got louder and louder until he could finally register it as a heart monitor. He kept trying to move until he finally he felt his finger twitch, he was slowly gaining control over himself again.
It took a long time but he was finally able to start to open his eyes, but he wish he hadn't. When he woke up he saw a familiar face standing over him. "Kiyotaka! You're finally awake!"
Horikita ran out of the room to get a nurse, and Kiyotaka just closed his eyes. Trying to go back, to be in any world but this one. To be in any world where his father want his father. Where he could be free even if it meant being dead. He has to figure out how to get back. But for now, he'd have to go through the motions, go back to the only position that his father approves of, and the only one keeping him out of that stupid white facility.
Horikita came back into the room, tears in her eyes, "I'm so glad you're okay!" Kiyotaka could only look at her, a single tear neither of them new he could produce, rolled down his cheek. "Hm" was the only sound he could get out. He wanted nothing more then to be back on Hisoka's shoulder.
