«I can't believe I'm doing this.» Is what I think to myself when I'm standing by Juniper's door, right before knocking on it at 9 am on a Saturday.

"Here goes nothing." I whisper to myself and knock loudly.

I don't hear anything from the inside for a minute until footsteps approach the door:

"Yes?" The door opens slightly. "Oh." I look up to see Juniper in a really thin white pajamas. Her hair is braided and messy and I try not to stare at her chest area.

"Hey, uhm... Good morning." I scratch the back of my neck and she tries to hide her torso with the door, only peeking her head.

"Good morning." She looks surprised to see me. "I wasn't expecting you'd come."

"I didn't exactly plan on coming either." I regret voicing my thoughts out loud the second the words left my mouth. "I just wanted to check on you, I didn't see you in the concert yesterday." She furrowed her eyebrows.

"We left in the middle of the last song." She looks rather sad when she admits it. Did she not like the song? "Avril got really affected."

I'm confused by what she means. Didn't she understand the song was for her?

"What do you mean?"

"Avril said Sonny is the one writing the songs." She sighs. "She started overthinking the lyrics of your last song and she thinks the song was for me."

IT WAS FOR YOU! - I wanted to yell it out loud, scream it in her face.

"She's not wrong."

"No?" She looks even more confused. "You're saying Sonny wrote the song for me?"

"Sonny didn't write this one song." I can't look her in the eyes while I say this. "I was the one who wrote it, Sonny only made it better."

Not a single sound comes out of June's mouth and I'm forced to look at her: she's frozen in place, like a statue, stunned.

"Uhm..." She finally mumbles something, quickly looking over her shoulder. "I think we should take this conversation elsewhere..."

"No, no, I totally understand." I shift my weight from one leg to another. "I assume your aunt is home."

"She's actually Avril's aunt but yes, she is... and so is Avril." She takes another look over her shoulder. "I can get myself dressed really quick and..." I sign for her to stop right there.

"Are you free this evening?"

"Well, yes." She lets her body peak a little behind the door's protection and I have to force myself to look into her eyes. Her eyes are truly gorgeous.

"I can pick you up for dinner by seven." She smiles softly.

"Sounds good."

"Alright. Don't be late for our date, see you then!" I turn my back and wave her goodbye. I couldn't stay a single second more looking into her without wavering my eyes on her curves.
