"And what happened after that?" Avril is locked in my narrative about yesterday's date. Obviously, I couldn't tell her that Holt isn't truly named Holt, but I surely wanted to. So bad.
"Pretty much I told him I'd have to come up with a nickname for him." This really happened after he told me I could only use his name when we're alone. "And he asked if he could call me June..."
"And what did you say?" Avril's face twists, she's probably slightly jealous.
"I said he could. Sorry, Avril."
"Ah, June... It was my nickname for you." She isn't mad but I can tell she's not totally happy with the fact.
"I know, but my name is indeed long. It could use a nickname."
"He could have picked another one out." She bites into her toast. "But it's okay, I won't be mad at his lack of creativity." I giggled, and she smiled. "No, but really, I'm happy for you."
"Thank you, Avril." We exchange happy smiles and laughs about the date.

"So? How did the date go?" Jax asks when I arrive in the living room.
"It was pretty alright. I think she liked it." Jax was the only one I told I'd have a date with Juniper. "I also told her about my name." Jax's eyes look like they're ready to pop out.
"Dude, really?" He scratches his neck. "How did she react?" I bite down on a smile.
"She said it was a sweet name and that it fit me." My face almost betrays me, I can barely contain my happiness.
"She really likes you." Jax puts his arm around my neck and pats my back. "Good job, man." I have to break free from his embrace before Hunter or Sonny sees us.
"Thanks."
"Did you ask her on a second date?"
"Kind of. I told her I had other ideas for future dates, ones she'd enjoy more." I review the ideas I had in my head. "And she told me she was up for it."
