I am awakened by the sun's rays shining in my eyes. The warmth of it brings me peace to my soul. I feel crushed, provoked by hefty blankets, and I realize I'm wrapped in Milo's arms. I stretch my neck to kiss the top of his nose, his breath warm and steady against my face.

His beard scratches against my cheek, and I can see his eyelashes trembling and his eyelids opening, revealing his gentle green eyes.

"Good morning, gorgeous." The corners of his lips lift up, and he kisses my forehead. "Have you been awake long?"

"No." His grip on my body loosens, but his arms still rest around my waist.

"You want anything for breakfast?" I feel weight in between my legs, and flashbacks of last night run through my head: the touches, the whispers, and the sounds. I immediately feel my cheeks burning up, and I bury my face in his chest. "Is that a no?"

"Coffee would be nice." His hand travels in circles on my back, then squeezes my skin between the neck and shoulder.

"Coffee it is." He lets my body go, and I immediately feel the lack of his presence and warmth. "I think I bought some croissants. I'll make you one." He leaves the room after kissing my forehead, the wood floor cracking under his steps.

"Good morning, Holt!" I hear Sonny's voice coming from the kitchen, and I immediately stiffen under the sound. "You woke up later today."

"Yeah." I hear the sound of Milo's voice, although more muffled than Sonny's. "By the way, not to startle you, but I got some company." A flush of heat covers my cheeks, afraid of Sonny coming in and checking me out.

"Oh, okay. Should I go say hi?"

"Please don't." Milo's voice tightens.

Was there a hint of jealousy in his voice?

"I'd rather you don't come into my room at all." He completes.

Oh.

There definitely was jealousy in his voice.

The thought of Milo getting jealous because Sonny wants to come in his room to say hi to me when I'm in nothing more than a baggy and underwear makes me feel warm inside, as if it were the confirmation that he truly loves me.

«This house is yours to fill

Oh jeez.

I bring my hand to my chest when the memory of his whispers in my ear invades my brain. My face and chest flush with red, awaiting Milo's return. It doesn't take long until the smell of warm croissants and coffee fills the air, and Milo comes in the room with his hands busy with mugs and small plates.

"Here you go." He hands me a mug filled with coffee made exactly how I like it, then places the plate on his nightstand. He pressed a croissant with ham and put scrambled eggs on the side.
