She felt like there was something off about their relationship, something different from the usual friendly interactions between girls, but she couldn't pinpoint what it was.

Liu Xue put her doubts aside and looked at Zhang Wan Ying with a hint of displeasure. What was wrong with this woman? She had never seen her get so close to anyone before.

Moreover, didn't she realize it was inappropriate to barge into their conversation? She should have quietly found a corner to stay in.

And Mo Ran, she had been trying to be friendly for so long, but Mo Ran was acting like she didn't understand. She had decisively abandoned Yang Yuan to befriend her.

But Mo Ran didn't appreciate her efforts and was so warm towards this woman, Zhang Wan Ying. It was infuriating.

In this apocalypse, women had no other way to survive except by sticking together. Didn't Mo Ran realize that there was no one on this rooftop more suitable to be her friend than her?

Liu Xue always believed that she played the role of a "friend" exceptionally well. She didn't have any particular strengths, she was just average in every way. But because of this, she was popular among women.

Whether it was being friendly to everyone, speaking appropriately for different occasions, or subtly flattering those who were not very bright but could benefit her, she believed she did it all perfectly.

She adapted her social skills to different people.

Maybe Mo Ran just didn't fall for her tricks, Liu Xue comforted herself. No need to rush, she just needed to leave a neutral impression first. She could try other approaches later.

Perhaps it was because there were only Zhang Wan Ying and Mo Ran before, so Mo Ran was more friendly towards her. But it didn't matter, she was definitely more suitable to be a friend than Zhang Wan Ying.

How could she lose in social skills to a girl who was isolated by everyone? No matter how close they were before, as long as she was here, she would definitely win Mo Ran over.

These thoughts formed in her mind almost instantly, unnoticed by others.

Zhang Wan Ying didn't forget why she came over. She temporarily hid her happiness and leaned close to Mo Ran's ear, whispering a few words.

Mo Ran had to lower her head slightly to hear what she was saying. Her expression immediately turned serious. Zhang Wan Ying was talking about leaving the school.

They had been delayed by these people, and it was almost dark. Moreover, there were even more zombies gathering downstairs. If they wanted to leave, they would have to wait until noon tomorrow and see how things were.

Mo Ran glanced towards the other group, seemingly unintentionally. Coincidentally, the guy she had beaten up was also looking at her, his hatred obvious.

With these people around, leaving the school would be much more troublesome, and they might need to work together as a team. Otherwise, they might be betrayed from behind, which would be unpleasant.

Mo Ran hadn't figured out how to leave the school yet, when another unpleasant incident happened.

Two guys from Li Si's group brazenly took out the remaining half-box of instant noodles on the rooftop and started eating, gobbling them down as if they were afraid they wouldn't have any left.

Although they had already put the ones they needed to take away in their backpacks, the ones left on the ground were untakeable. But Mo Ran was still annoyed.

They were the ones who had risked their lives to snatch this box from that perverted zombie. Leaving it on the rooftop clearly meant it was theirs. These people started eating without even saying a word, and they were so wasteful.
