Huang Shan asked in confusion, "Got here? Weren't you in the mall from the beginning?"

"No, I only got here a few days ago. I was looking for someone, just like you guys, but now I'm stuck." Qi Kui smiled helplessly and pulled a chair from the side to sit down.

Coincidentally, she chose a spot right between Mo Ran and Zhang Wan Ying. Her movements were smooth and natural, so no one found it strange.

Mo Ran's eyebrows twitched when she heard this. She said it lightly, but to break into a mall unscathed and clear out so many zombies, could a normal person be that strong?

As far as she knew, the only people with that kind of strength were the Awakened in Blue Star. Could this person be one of them...?

She carefully examined the girl's hair color and pupils. The Awakened she had met so far all had unusual hair and eye colors, probably due to the gene-altering serum they had taken.

But this person... Mo Ran was suspicious, but she also felt like the girl seemed normal. Her hair was just a common perm and dye job, and her eyes were a normal black.

Maybe she was overthinking it. There was no reason for an Awakened to appear here.

"Did you find them?" Huang Shan asked casually.

Qi Kui just smiled and didn't answer. Her expression seemed a little sad, which clearly meant she hadn't found them. It was cruel, this apocalypse. Huang Shan sighed and wisely didn't ask further.

"Did you save Xiao Bai? I saw you were really good at fighting." He changed the subject to lighten the mood.

"Not really. I just met him here. He's really strong. He survived in the mall's staff room for so many days," Qi Kui said lightly. "And we cleared out the zombies on this floor together. We also cleared the two floors below. Now there are no obstacles at all the exits, so it's pretty safe here under normal circumstances."

Mo Ran lowered her head in self-reproach. She couldn't imagine how Mo Bai had survived alone in this mall. It must have been incredibly difficult. If she, his sister, had come to find him sooner...

Zhang Wan Ying noticed her emotions, but with someone in between them, she didn't know how to comfort her. She sighed subtly and took a sip of her coffee.

"Three floors of zombies? You two are that strong...?" Huang Shan just thinking about it made him sweat. Although the clothing section didn't have as many people as the food section downstairs, there were still a lot of them.

"Not really. We're still stuck here. We can't get out, and we don't want to go out, because we don't know where else to go." Qi Kui smiled bitterly.

Everyone felt a little melancholy. Not knowing where to go was a thought that everyone had. In this apocalypse, survival was the priority, but after surviving, they didn't know what to do.

Fortunately, human life is tenacious. There were still many survivors who could band together for warmth. If they were the only ones alive, it would be too painful.

"Let's all introduce ourselves. My name is Qi Kui. I'm an office worker, and my side hustle is boxing." Qi Kui said.

"My name is Huang Shan. I was a high school senior." Huang Shan was the first to answer.

"Oh," Qi Kui smiled and glanced to the side. "What about this little sister?"

"Me?" Zhang Wan Ying was drinking her coffee when she heard the voice. She looked up, a little confused, and pointed at herself.

Then she saw the girl's dark eyes staring straight at her. She chuckled a few times, then propped her chin on her hand and winked at her.

"Not comfortable saying it?"
