Mo Ran had thought of many answers Zhang Wan Ying might give, but she didn't expect her to say that. Her brain cells weren't enough.

"Why would you regret it?" She asked again.

"If Lin Keren hadn't appeared, I might never have seen you again," Zhang Wan Ying lowered her eyes and looked at her fingertips. "Isn't that enough to make me regret it?"

Mo Ran was speechless for a moment. No one thought it was wrong for her to lure the zombies away. No one thought about whether she could escape from the pile of corpses. Everyone was thinking about their own safety.

Only Zhang Wan Ying was so foolish to run back to find her. Of course, Da Huang came too, but she and Da Huang had been friends for so many years. She had only known Zhang Wan Ying for less than ten days.

Besides being touched, she didn't know how to express her feelings. Her eyes felt a little hot, so Mo Ran chose to bury her head to hide her embarrassment.

Sensing the other girl's sudden closeness, Zhang Wan Ying became a little nervous. They were already very close, and she was getting closer. What was she trying to do?

Her heart was pounding. She didn't know why she was nervous. Maybe it was because, since she was a child, no girl had ever been this close to her except for her mother.

She was nervous for a while, but then she realized that the other girl was just resting her forehead on her shoulder and then stopped moving.

"What's wrong?" Zhang Wan Ying asked softly.

She relaxed her shoulder, making it more comfortable for the other girl to lean on. Then, she turned her head and looked at Mo Ran's fluffy hair. Her naturally dried short hair was puffed up like it had been blown up, looking soft and fluffy.

She really wanted to touch it. Her hand, resting on the side, twitched. Before she realized it, her palm had already touched the fluffy short hair.

Zhang Wan Ying's hand froze. She started thinking about how to pull her hand back without being awkward, but Mo Ran didn't react for a long time.

So, she tentatively touched it lightly twice. The other girl still didn't show any signs of rejection. She even rubbed her head against her neck.

So cute.

Her neck felt itchy. Zhang Wan Ying pursed her lips and began to comb the fluffy short hair rhythmically.

The car drove towards the city. The sky was getting dark, and Huang Shan's heart was getting heavier. He looked through the rearview mirror and saw Mo Ran, who had fallen asleep on her lap at some point.

He hesitated for a moment, but still pulled the car over at an intersection without any zombies, then turned his head and woke Mo Ran up.

Mo Ran opened her eyes groggily. It took her a while to realize that she had fallen asleep. But before she could feel embarrassed, Huang Shan's ugly expression startled her awake.

"What's wrong? Did you see a ghost?" Mo Ran rubbed her eyes.

"It's dark. It's probably not a good idea to go back to the city center now. We don't know what the situation is on the road. What do you think we should do?" Huang Shan was clearly afraid of the zombies in the city.

Mo Ran was wide awake now. She had been so focused on leaving that she had ignored this important issue. How they could get home safely was the most important thing.

They weren't like Lin Keren, a powerful ability user who could move in and out of zombie hordes unscathed.

The two of them immediately became anxious. Zhang Wan Ying looked at them both and spoke. "Ran Ran, do you remember the place we were going to go at first?"
