Chapter 96 - Shameless (Adrien/Chat Noir)

I let Luka be friends with me again. I also let Viperion be friends with me. I let Luka be friends with Chat Noir too... if it's a must for him to be friends with Viperion then that means I don't really have any other choice, do I?

No. I don't. Not one single bit. But I would rather be friends with him instead of seeing him as my enemy. I never wanted him to be my "enemy" in the first place. "Are you ready?" I turned around to face Chloe who was standing in my doorway.

"Yes," I told her. "I am." I walked up to her and together we left the hotel. "I heard you and Luka patched up your friendship. How are you feeling about that?" I really didn't know what to tell her.

"That same little birdie told me you also made amends with Viperion." She inquired. "I did.." There was no point in denying it, Chloe would know I was lying.

"Isn't it time for Chat Noir to do the same with him, don't you think?" Yep. No ever getting past this one.

"Are you sure you guys don't remember anything?"

Alya glanced at Nino and then back at us. "I'm pretty sure I wouldn't remember getting possesed by Adrien's physco bitch Father who pretty much wants to murder us for some magical jewels." Alya was a little harsh with her tone.

I tried not to wince at the title she gave for.. the man who must not be named. I'm proud of how I used Harry Potter in that sequence. Alya's eyes softened and she uncrossed her arms.

"Sorry guys.. it's just.. being Akumatized isn't the most joyful expeirience." She said. "I can vouch for that." Chloe held up her fist and Juleka bumped it with her own. "Me too."

"You're probably the only one out of the seven of us that hasn't been Akumatized yet, Marinette." Nino pointed out. Marinette sighed. "If that ever does happen.. I'm sure the heroes will save me."

She had to say that because Luka doesn't know that we're all Miraculous holders. It might be dangerous for him to know. The safest thing we can do is not let him learn about us.

If he's not a Miraculous holder himself, then he needs to stay out of it. I don't like keeping him in the dark, but I have no other choice. "They will. They saved us when we got Akumatized." My friends agreed.

I couldn't stop thinking of the time Luka had gotten Akumatized. It was months ago, but it feels like it was just yesterday. Like he was Silencer only days ago. When he was Silencer..

I remember he didn't steal my voice, but he told me to stay out of his way. How he told me directly that he would never hurt me. And that he loved me. But he was in his Supervillain form, he didn't remember saying that.

Of course, I don't remember anything about being Akumatized either. I wouldn't expect him to rememeber anything anyway. I don't think he would even want to remember. I know I don't.

I yawned. A normal School day has never made me so tired. I changed into my pajamas and crawled into my bed. "Night, Plagg." I muttered as my head hit the pillow. "Night, kid." He curled up beside me on my pillow.

~Dream~

I was back at Luka's houseboat. I had no idea what I was doing there. I hadn't been to Luka's house in months. I avoided the place like it was on fire or something. I walked around the boat.

It was the same. Nothing was different. "Adrien~ where are you?" I froze. That voice.. it sounded like Luka... but at the same time, it didn't. I was too scared to turn around.

"I found you, my angel~" I shut my eyes. It was Luka! But he wasn't. I knew it was him, I didn't dare turn around to find out if my gut feeling was right. "Don't be afraid, I would never hurt you." I wanted to run away, but I couldn't move.
