Chapter 97 - When Can I See You Again? (Nino/Carapace)

In a way, Adrien's dream did make a little sense. But only a little bit. I sort of felt like there were a few details he actually left out, but I don't want to push him.

I want him to come to me on his own feeling like I'm trustworthy of him telling me the entire dream he had. Plus, I need to have knowledge of what the heck happened with Adrien getting sharp cat teeth when Marinette got Akumatized!

If I was there, I'd probably laugh my head off as Lila screamed for her life to be saved and Adrien standing there very capable of doing it, but choosing not to because he didn't care if she died.

I know Alya would've done the exact same thing. Juleka would be joining Marinette in trying to kill her and Chloe.. she most likley could've used her power to stun Lila to make Marinette and Juleka's job a lot easier.

If Lila tried to fight back I'd Shelter away her ass and send her flying crashing into a brick wall. That would have been fun to do and watch.

"Your teeth look normal to me," Chloe gazed into Adrien's mouth. She pulled away to allow him to close it. "I think that only happens when I'm Chat now.." He said.

"You've been Chat Noir for a very long time. He's a real part of you and maybe that wild cat side is finally coming out. Cats are preditors." I pointed out.

"So are foxes and tigers. Do you think that means Alya and I will go all fox and tiger one day?" Juleka asked. If it happened to Adrien, it might happen to them too.

"Let's break this down... cats, foxes and tigers are preditors with sharp teeth and claws, while bees and ladybugs are insects and turtles are prey. But we're all still human, so even if that instinct from being animal themed superheroes take over, we'll still have half-control." I explained.

I got that off my chest, but it felt like there was something I was missing... or perhaps.. someone. Luka wasn't here because he didn't know about Adrien.

"Viperion. Snakes are also serious preditors." My friends looked at me. "He'd get fangs. What if he ends up being one of those venomous kinds?" Adrien's tone made him sound nervous about that.

"Even if he does, he'll be in control enough to not attack us. Just like the rest of our preditor friends, right?" I gave a look to Alya, Adrien and Juleka.

"Of course." The three of them spoke together. I nodded. "Marinette.. I was wondering.. why didn't you invite Luka today?" It was a question I suspected Adrien didn't want to be asked by anyone.

"I did, actually. He declined though.. said he had something he needed to get done today. I didn't push him for an explination." She answered. I frowned slightly, but made sure no one noticed.

Luka wasn't able to come because he needed to get something done today? I wasn't sure that was the type of person Luka was. He loved coming over to Marinette's house. Just like Adrien it was for her parents' pastries, not surprising.

In a way, I wanted to get to the bottom of this. Find out Luka's real reason for not wanting to join the gathering of friends. I couldn't be certain that he would even tell me the reason for not wanting to come.

But I can't let my friends know that I'm going to speak to Luka. The sooner I do it the better. I pulled out my phone and secretly dialed my brother's number. My parents thought it'd be a good idea for him to have a phone in case of emergancies.

"Nino? Why are you calling me?"

"Chris, don't worry, I'll be on my way to help you with your emergancy!"

"What are you talking about? I don't have an emergancy."

"Stay calm little brother, I'll be there soon."
