Chapter 100 - This Is Where It All Ends (Juleka/Purple Tigress)

"This time we will not fail."

No, we will not. "Come on, we have a lot of work to do." I let Ladybug and the others walk ahead but I grabbed Pegasus' wrist and held him back. "You don't have to do this, Max." He turned to face me.

"I can't stand around and not do anyhing, Juleka. Kim needs me. I need him, I need him to come back to me safe and sound." I moved my hand so I was holding his. "I know. And if it was Rose I would stop at absoloutly nothing to get her back." I pulled his hand up to my chest and held it in between my own.

"You're not alone in this fight, Max. We're all here, as a team. We've got this, together." When those words left my mouth, the tears started leaving his eyes. I could see them falling down his cheeks even though his Miraculous covered his eyes.

He burried his face into my chest and started crying. I wrapped my arms around him and let him cry into me. "I've got you..." I whispered. He pulled away after a few minutes.

"I must apologize, Juleka. That's never happened before. I don't normally cry." He wiped his cheeks. "Max, it's okay. I don't mind." I smiled at him. "Should we join the others? They might need us right about now." I nodded.

"Okay, let's go." I allowed him to keep holding my hand while we joined the rest of our team. They were standing frozen looking over Paris. We joined them and were suddenly in the same trance.

Paris was chaos. So many supervillians that were previously akumatized filled the streets. Everywhere... "That's too many. How are we going to take them all on at once?" Rena gasped.

"Shake it off guys, we can't chicken out now." Everyone stared at him. It was almost too late for Caprikid to take it back. "Thank god he's not here..." I heard him mutter afterwards.

Pegasus nudged me. "What's he talking about?" I tried not to snicker. "He got into an argument with Rooster Bold earlier and it's the fact that he said 'chicken out' instead of something like 'backing out' and if Rooster Bold was here, it's a possibility that he would get offended since roosters and hens as a whole are genuinly called chickens." I told him.

"I see." Pegasus mused. "Okay, enough about the chicken jokes, this is serious." Caprikid had his hands on his hips. "Alright, no one tell Caprikid's boyfriend he made a chicken joke." I deadpanned.

"He's not my-" Caprikid began, but the multiple beams of light heading right for us cut off his protest. "Run!" Ladybug shouted. We scattered, we ended up getting separated.

But as it turned out I never did let go of Pegasus' hand so we ended up staying together. "We lost the others." Pegasus gasped between breaths. "I know." I never let go of his hand becase I didn't want us to get separated either.

"We can't leave them behind, how are we supposed to find them now?" Pegasus asked. "If we go back to the Burrow, Bunnix can easily find the others and we can rejoin them." I explained.

"Okay." He agreed. "Voyage!" We jumped through. "Pegasus! Purple Tigress! What happened? Where are the others?" Polymouse stood up from where she was sitting with Rooster Bold.

"We got separated. Bunnix, can you find them?" I asked her. "On it." She said, searching her timelines. "Got them!" She announced. Pegasus and I rushed over and jumed out to rejoin the group.

"There you guys are!" Ladybug threw up her arms when she saw us. "We thought we had lost you." She came over and embraced us both. "I'm glad you're okay." I patted her shoulder.

"Yes. We're okay." Pegasus said. I nodded in agreement. "Good, because we're going to need you." Ladybug told us. "What's the situation?" I asked. Ladybug bit her lip.
