The first thing Aaron felt after waking up was confusion

The first thing Aaron felt after waking up was confusion. Confusion as to why he'd woken up in comfortable pyjamas in a very comfortable bed in a bedroom he didn't recognise. His first thought was he'd been kidnapped and his kidnappers were trying to rehabilitate him so he'd stay forever. But then he'd realised he would just kill them and leave. The next thing he felt was the magic all around him. Wherever he was, he was surrounded by a lot of magic. Could be a barrier spell. Illusion magic. Something along those lines.

But what really threw him was the smell of his favourite breakfast meal. Pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash brown, maple syrup on the side along with some green apple and coffee. Cautious, Aaron climbed out of the comfortable bed and opened the door, peaking his head out and looking at both ends of the hallway outside. The architecture looked familiar to Aaron but he couldn't place why. After looking from one end of the hallway to the other a couple more times, he stepped out and started walking towards where the smell was coming from, the socks on his feet muffling his steps slightly.

As he walked down the stairs, he was suddenly overwhelmed with déjà vu. As he reached the bottom, he looked down the hallway, finally releasing where he was. The boarding school. Only it didn't look like a school. It looked like a house. No classrooms. No students. No notice boards. No dorm rooms. Just one, big house. And from the detail of the house, Aaron came to one conclusion. Chambre de Chasse combined with a linking spell. On alert more than he was before, he made his way to the kitchen and when he stormed into the room, he stopped in his track, frozen in shock at what he saw.

Daniel and Mia Salvatore sat at a small dining table by the fireplace, eating breakfast. Daniel had a book in hand whilst Mia did a crossword in the newspaper. "Look who finally woke up." Daniel said, not taking his eyes away from the book. "Mom? Dad?" Aaron asked, still in a state of shock. Mia turned to look at her son, smiling warmly. "Hi, Shadow." She said, standing up. Aaron stared at her for a moment before speeding over and hugging her. Mia reciprocated the hug, keeping a tight hold on her son. Aaron pulled away, seeing Daniel was now stood up.

Aaron didn't waste a second before rushing around the table and hugging his dad. Daniel chuckled lightly, hugging Aaron back. "I missed you both so much." Aaron breathed out. "We missed you too." Daniel responded, committing the moment to memory. Having his son back in his arms.
