Aaron Salvatore and Hope Mikaelson. They were a force that should never be challenged. They were the best of friends since their dads were best friends. After Hope's dad died, Hope pushed everyone away. Except Aaron.

After compelling themselves into a half-decent hotel, the four forged a plan to get Jen to tell them about the gods. Their plan? Just like all the great one. Bribes, charm and some slight and subtle manipulation. Like I said, all the great plans. So, the four decided to sleep on everything and focus on the task the next day. Currently, Lizzie and Carter were sat on the balcony of one of the rooms, going over a few things for the next day. "So, me and Aaron will handle the special ingredient for the brownies. You and Aurora can handle the other item." Carter said, Lizzie nodding.
"Cool. Throw in a bit of your charm and some subtle manipulation and we'll know everything there is to know about the gods tomorrow." Lizzie said. "Charm?" Carter asked, raising a brow. "Oh, come on. Don't tell me you didn't see the way she was looking at you?" Lizzie asked and Carter frowned lightly. "Seriously? She's called you hot every time she talks about you." Lizzie said. "So?" Carter asked. Lizzie looked at him dumbfounded. "She likes you, dumbass!" She exclaimed. Carter frowned deeper.
"Why?" He asked softly. "Why? What do you mean why?" Lizzie asked. "Why does she like me?" Carter asked. Lizzie shrugged. "I don't know. I'm not a mind reader. She obviously sees something in you. Don't acted so shocked that someone could like you like that." Lizzie told him. Carter drifted into thought for a few moments. "Carter. You have been in a relationship, right?" Lizzie asked curiously.
Carter turned and gave her a deadpan look. "Of course I have. It's just... it was always me being the one having the crush. Not the other way around. I'm it used to people liking me like that first. And... people I date usually have a tendency to dump me. Whether it's because I'm not interesting enough or it's not you, it's me. But we all know what that means. It's not like I could just say 'Hey, you want interesting? Every full moon, every bone in my body breaks and I turn into a wolf!' to every girl I liked." He said.
Lizzie looked at him sympathetically. "Sometimes I think it would be nice to finally be with someone who gets me. Understands me. And other times I think maybe I'm just destined to not have that in that way." Carter spoke. Lizzie went to speak before stopping herself. "Anyway, enough with all this deep, emotional crap. It's still too early in my immortal life to start spiralling." Carter said before walking inside. Lizzie watched him leave, shrugging in agreement.
