I pick up the football and show Kristen. "Is this it?"

She nods. "Yup, that's the one he wants" She said.

I toss the football in the cart and we continue to go through the aisles.

We've been Christmas shopping for the past few hours at the mall.

I got just about everyone done, including myself.

Gotta treat yourself.

Right now we're at Dicks getting my nephews done.

Liam wanted a new football and we're still looking around for Parker.

After having no luck we check out then go to target next door.

Something catches my eye so I grab it and show it to Kristen. "Think he'll like this?"

She grins. "That's perfect. He doesn't have any remote control cars" She said.

Perfect.

I go to the game aisle to grab some little stocking stuffers toys for him when my phone rings.

I see it's Hudson and pick up. "Hey what's up."

"Can you come over?" He asked in a panicked tone that makes my stomach drop.

"What's wrong?"

"I just had to pick Piper up from Carly's House because she got her period. I don't know what to do" He panicked.

Oh boy, every fathers nightmare.

"Ok calm down. Do you have any pads?"

"No. Fuck I probably should've stocked up just in case this happened" He said.

"Don't sweat it. I'm at Target now so I'll pick some stuff up and I'll be over in a little bit. Is she having cramps?"

"Yeah, that's why I went to pick her up" He said.

"Ok, do you have a heating pad?"

"Fuck. No I don't. I'm really failing at this" He said sounding so defeated.

"No you're not. You're doing fine, you just weren't prepared and that's not a big deal. I'll get everything and she'll be ok."

He blows out a sigh of relief. "Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without you" He said.

"Well we don't have to worry about that. I'll see you soon."

"Ok, see you soon" He said and we hung up.

I turn to Kristen. "Piper got her period and Hudson is freaking out."

She snorts. "Poor guy" She said.

"Yeah, he's no prepared so I'm gonna go grab some stuff for her."

"Good idea. Well I'll let you get to it. Let me know how it goes" She said.

I give her a hug. "Will do."

She waves me good bye then I take off for the personal care aisle.

I grab a pack of pads then go grab her favorite candy and other stuff.

Once I'm done I check out then head home.

I pull into the driveway and grab the bag with Piper's stuff and just as I get to the front door, it opens showing a very disgruntled Hudson.

His dirty blonde hair sticking up in all different directions like he raked his fingers through his hair so many times.

He blows out a audible breath. "Thank god you're here" He said.
