The warm sun filtered its ray's through the curtains as Reena stirred in bed, her body cold. Her arm unconsciously stretched out, searching for her husband but frowned, sitting up when she couldn't find him in bed.
She rubbed her eyes, glancing at the clock on the wall. 4:30 am. It was barely even sunrise and he was already gone.
Reena crept out of bed, walking around the house, trying to find her husband but he was no where to be found.
Just as she was about to make her way back to their room, she heard the sound of footsteps from the end of the corridor.
She followed the sound, which led her to a small room, tucked away in the far corner of the house. She gently pushed the door open, her heart beating wild in anticipation.
The room was nothing like the opulent halls of the palace. It was raw—exposed brick, heavy iron beams, a scent of sweat and something unmistakably masculine.
In the centre, Rocky moved with effortless power, his body glistening under the warm glow of a single hanging bulb.
Reena stayed in the shadows, her heartbeat quickening. She had always known he was strong—she had seen him fight, seen the way people feared and respected him—but this was different. This was intimate.
His muscles flexed and rolled beneath his skin as he gripped the heavy dumbbells, veins running like fine rivers along his forearms. He exhaled through gritted teeth, his jaw tight with focus, his dark hair damp against his forehead.
Reena swallowed hard. She had imagined all the wild places he might've been, the crazier things she expected to walk in on but this surprised her.
Of course Rocky worked out, i mean have you seen the man. He was pure strength and muscle. But she had never seen him work out and something about the way he moved made her stomach flip.
Her fingers curled around the edge of the doorframe as she watched, her body betraying her with every second she stayed.
She had seen men train before, had seen battle-hardened warriors covered in sweat and blood, but Rocky... Rocky was something else entirely. Every controlled movement, every sharp breath, sent heat curling low in her stomach.
Then he stopped.
He stood tall, his chest rising and falling heavily as the 'R' pendant sat neatly on top. He lifted the hem of his tank top to wipe his face and Reena nearly choked.
The muscles of his abdomen, taut and ridged, gleamed under the dim light, and she felt her knees threaten to buckle.
"Dont you know its rude to stare Chinna?" he asked, his voice light and teasing.
Reena's breath hitched. She had been caught. She pushed herself away from the doorframe, walking over to him.
"Oh please dont flatter yourself baby, i wasn't staring" Reena teased back and he playfully rolled his eyes, grabbing her arm and swinging her around so her back was pressed firm against his chest.
He grinned, resting his head on top of hers as she smiled, staring at their reflection in the mirror. "You do have to admit, i do look pretty hot" he said and she scoffed, playfully shaking her head.
"Yes you are, but I'm hotter" she argued and Rocky nodded, kissing her cheek. She looked up at him and noticed a mischievous glint in his eyes. She knew he was up to something.
She pulled back, crossing her arms over her chest. "What are you planning Rocky boy?" she asked and he simply shrugged, grabbing his water bottle.
Reena watched him with questioning eyes but gasped when he poured the whole bottle of water all over his body.
